7/1/2021 - Today we visited the highest point in South Carolina, Sassafras Mountain. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountain range, it stand 3,553 feet above sea level. The views are spectacular from the observation platform and the drive up is beautiful!
On our way back down, we came across the Beech Bottom Falls Trail, so we stopped for a little hike to the falls. The hike proved to be a little challenging just before the falls but the scenery was gorgeous and worth the effort!
