Welllllll......I found my girlfriend in prison. Okay, okay, NOT what you think. She was an officer, I was the nurse on an all-female unit. We were actually both attached to other people at the time. I had a HUGE crush on her. She would not even look at me (I found out later, she was crushing on me). I left the prison and lo and behold, about a year later, she found me on Facebook. We became friends, I flirted a bit (she was in denial, until her best friend told her that I was flirting with her). I finally got her to meet up with me last year and as of March 15th, we will have been together for a year. She is also 15 years my junior. She is AMAZING!!!!

How I found my girlfriend: worked for her for a year. Spent 6-8 months denying I had feelings for her... then eventually realised I was being a commitment-phobe for no reason... opened myself up and noticed she did the same. We exchanged through IG DMs almost daily. Eventually, when I left the company, told her how I felt... straight up. We began ‘dating talking’ straight after that and went on a date a few weeks later.... the rest is history 💁🏻♀️

If this is your real picture you are nice looking. Yeah, my situation is a bit wierd: 1) I'm scared of Tinder, 2) I wanna make twice as much money as I do now so I can spoil my woman the way I see it in my head, 3) I am more interested to have a good woman to travel and just do life with than to have a DAILY person in my bed, in my face, in my space. I frankly don't think I have the makeup to give her what she needs DAILY. When I do want it, I WANT IT understand me? The gag is, I'm only interested in full-on sex every now and then, so I don't think I can sustain a whole-ass marriage or anything close to it.

@emilyscloset26485 жыл бұрын
but there is also a difference between easing them in gently and instantly dumping ur crazy kinks and mental health history on them first date
@wingbat5 жыл бұрын
Master of None Why are you assuming this is about crazy kinks and mental health? She was talking about the fact she's looking for a wife?? But even still, going with the way your mind operates, if you have crazy kinks and mental health issues, then yes you're welcome to be authentic to yourself even on a first date. If it's meant to be, and if it's the right person, then it'll be okay, if it's not meant to be then it won't. Playing a game of 'i need to hide this thing about myself for this amount of time,' is silly imo. To each their own.

I don't know how to correctly express myself in English. I believe that if you feel good and confident about yourself then it won't be a problem. You should wait until you feel comfortable with the person and then talk about it. If the reaction isn't the one you were looking for then just tell them, and tell them how you feel :) Just know that you are beautiful, no matter what they might say. I hope that my text made any sense ahah

Oddly I recently went from high school, where I had a girlfriend and quite a few gay friends, to college where I don't really hang with the gays quite as much. I think part of the reason why is that I want to be friends/in relationships with people who have more in common with me than just also being gay. I mostly just hold out hope that the perfect nerdy lesbian (or bi or pan girl) will come my way. For now, though, I make sure to always have something with a pride flag on it at all times.

Literally met the person I'm currently dating because we both had wrote that were looking for a relationship. Eva from @whatsmybodydoin actually did a workshop in my city, which included a section on 'meeting people'. She broke down flirting to its core components, reading signs of mutual chemistry/disinterest, how to get a better understanding of what you are looking for, among other things. She talked about the differences between flirting in an opted-in flirting space (dating websites, bars) vs other spaces (bookstores).(I hope she puts the slides up.) She posted examples of her interactions flirting with women (and being flirted with) that I found really helpful in terms of being more grounded on what flirting was. A pretty big thing for me was coming to terms that I will need to be brave and initiate encounters, without any expectation of outcome. Flagging can definitely attract people, but I think there are more women flagging than picking up on the cues and bravely making the first move. Making the first move as a service. =)

depending on where you are (more likely if you live in a big city, probs), there may be groups for lgbt+ youth. they might be hard to find, but looking through some lgbt+ organization in your area might lead to something! i know stevie talked about events, but some regular groups do exist. it's often also a mixture of both, certain groups that have events, and the events might have new people sometimes but also just regulars who go to many of the events. it's not something that's guaranteed to exist, but you might just not know about it. those groups can vary from just hanging out to discussing lgbt+ issues to whatever. honestly, i've never really been to one myself, so this is largely based on what other people have said and such. i know it can be a good place to make friends and feel less alone. of course it's not something that'll always work for everyone, but it's worth a try! i have many friends (from another country) who met each other through a group like that when they were younger (we're all 18 and older now - but there are even groups for young adults in some places! even though there are more events for people above the minimum age to go to clubs and bars, it can be nice to meet people in a different setting, esp one that's more welcoming for people who might not feel comfortable in environments with loud music, drinking, etc). having lgbt+ friends can make a real difference, sometimes a lot more than you'd expect. there's a special kind of understanding and connection that you might not know you really need that you can find among other lgbt+ people. sometimes just being in spaces where you feel less alienated (even if you're not really socializing much) can feel really nice, even people who are not necessarily close friends but who you have a positive relationship with, acquaintances, whatever, can still be nice! of course that's not as great as close friendships, but that doesnt mean they arent enjoyable! just asking older lgbt+ people who are involved in the community more might also work. they're very likely to know more lgbt people, and some of the people they know might be around your age! and knowing older lgbt+ people who lead happy lives being open about who they are is always nice, and they have often been through things you might struggle with, so it's like they're "mentoring" you a bit, giving you advice, etc. (but watch out for creeps and all that, of course, because unfortunately there are older people who are up for relationships with younger people in a totally different stage of life, relationships where one person has a lot more power over the other, etc. i'm not gonna go into that more, but basically, just take care) i've also heard many colleges and high-schools in the US have GSAs (or whatever else they may be called in some cases). i know there are plenty of awkward, weird stories about experiences in them, but that's most likely bc the good, normal stories are prob less likely to get shared as much online. if you don't like it, just stop going! might still be worth checking out! just looking into some group a bit doesn't mean you have to become a committed member who goes to every event religiously. it's fine if you decide you don't like it after a while and stop going. at least you got some experience out of it :)

I’m 17 and I found my girlfriend on this app called yubo, about 5 months ago it’s not specifically designed for a youth dating app, however that is the community that’s generally formed, it was more as to make friends but there’s a ton of gays and is a great way to meet new people

I never did any little effort to get a girlfriend , I knew her from Twitter , we started as friends then we end up as girlfriends . It's been ten months since we've known each other and I think my relationship would be just perfect . We just live on different places on the planet , hopefully this'll change someday ;)

i literally found my girl on twitter. we both are huge fans of demi lovato.... she followed my fan account, and i didn’t notice it and then she send me a tweet asking to follow her so i did. a few days later we started dming each other without second intentions cuz we “were straight”. a few months later demi announced a show here in my city, and we got to meet up for the first time, we were just friends for a couples years untill the moment i realized i was in love since the begging, and now we’re here in our two years anniversary

Another tip! Get on google and look up “*your respective city* gay calendar” a lot of cities have literal websites designed to list all the gay events in different cities. It seems....obvious (?) but I’m sure someone hasn’t considered it.

I actually met my girlfriend at tinder, both of us create the account on the same day due to curiosity of the app itself, both of us kind of tired of trying to meet people at work or college or something like that and now we are saving money to move together by the end of the year and we starting dating almost 5 months ago (yeah too fast, but you know... lesbians) is funny that we download the app, create the account and by that same night a couple of hours later we were already talking and feeling so comfortable! Since the beginning we have been feeling at home with each other and so ready to take on the world together

I met my girlfriend at a bdsm event in our town 😁 we continued seeing each other at kinkster meetings and became friends over a few months. She's really beautiful and I fancied her right away, but I didn't let her know, since I wasn't really out as also liking women (I'm pansexual) and I didn't think there was any chance of her liking me back. She was asking me things like what kind of women I might find attractive, which should have been a clue for me 😅 in the end she just walked up to me and my boyfriend and flat out told us she wanted to be in a realtionship with us! 😍 (we're polyamorous) Eventually it didn't work out between her and my boyfriend, but I'm still together with both of them separately 🥰 and they are still friends.

@@erikakraemer6963 Hello, it’s a movie. I teach Spanish film in the US and I include that film as an option for an assignment. It's usually mind opening for my American students because so few of them have ever heard of polygamy or even bisexuality! It's not an amazing film, but the topics are good for American students en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angels_of_Sex
