Yes, it would be nice to have a view finder, like most instax camera model. It becomes a habit looking at the view finder when taking photos then I realized it doesn't have one😅

i just got this camera after wanting it for so long and i’m so excited to us it!!! it is such a genius time saving, money saving, quality invention. i love all the features and the digital screen is so cool, feels old school like the camera my mom would use growing except it’s had an upgrade and more my style with the polaroid print option! the app is also SO COOL and you can use it entirely as a printer! so awesome!! i also love that you can put in a memory card and use it like a normal digital camera. the little time stamps in the corner also feel so nostalgic 🥹 Great video!!!

I guess there's quite a bit of mixed emotions when it comes to this camera. I know that fujifilms instax devision designs most of the cameras around general consumers. But the part for me that made the most sense about instant film, is the fact that it remains a format still linked to its Polaroid legacy and roots. The "analog" part of capturing light on film, without any digital conversion. Yet it seems like the instax series would probably go down the printer route with the success of this camera. I really don't get why anyone would use instax film for prints when quick developing printing papers and cameras exist. But then, I also recognise that a lot of people shoot it for the aesthetic (which includes me). The printer lineup of cameras really just felt like a cheapened printer put into a PnS. Instax is an amazing format, I just wished that one day we would get an official body from fuji that features "proper" analog controls, and not simplified settings that actually make using the cameras harder (not having proper and fine tuned exposure controls etc). Either way, enjoy your camera. I love instax film in spite of its crappy camera bodies

An xpro instax only analog would be fire 🔥 but probably the problem with the instax format is the lens required to cover such a large space, apsc is pretty small and even the gfx series sensor is smaller than an instax photo, maybe with a lens enhancement adapter or something like that, but it would be too expensive for the research and development required. It’s a really nieche product, but I would buy it probably 😂

Yeah, there are people who will hack a decent lens onto an instax body, or hack a instax back onto a decent camera and body. I share your sentiment. I'm sure it wouldn't take much effort from Fuji to take one of their rangefinder GF670 bodies and redesign the back of it. It just seems like they can't be bothered. It's so annoying. I had the instax wide 300, and it was fun in a craptacular kind of way, but a waste of what the film is capable of. I think these kind of printer/cameras are mostly for people amazed at the novelty of instant film. But as a package, highly compromised, when even a budget mirrorless gives the user more control over exposure and depth of field if the thing is just going to print digital images, it's better just to get the plain instax printer, and have the hassle of carrying two things instead of one. Of course it will sell based on faux retro looks. Shame Fuji don't focus more on things like user control of DoF and exposure.

@@Ruylopez778 at this point, i would be astonished if fujifilm would even let us control focus manually, or god forbid put actual glass lenses on their bodies over the plastic junk. seeing video's of people adapting instax to bodies like the RB67, it really is a shame to the film in general. The film can resolve a *lot* more than what the plastic lenses can ever achieve I like to think fujifilm's departure from "true" analog bodies like the mini 90 i use on the daily, is due to the fact those camera's are so darn hard to use with a fixed F9 aperture lens, ensuring you don't have enough light even in bright shade conditions. But since fujifilm for some reason refuses to continue down the analog route, they just took the cheaper option of using printers instead so the series remains "accessible" to everyone of all ages

I prefer Instax Mini Evo because it has a better quality micro OLED "mirror screen" inside the body than Instax LiPlay. The quality of micro OLED mirror screen will determine the quality of the printed image. The LCD outside is not very important for me. 😊

Can someone please explain how the film emulsion works with a digital file ? I have the instax square and when the shutter opens, the light hits the film and then the chemicals are transferred onto the film. But how does the digital photo gets transferred onto the film ?

Yes, i have many other instax cameras. I have all sizes, but the quality on this camera is the best one. You can choose the print quality of the photo on this camera. There is a 'instax normal print' & 'rich mode print' where the colors are more vibrant. The quality of the original photo (not printed) is good too 😊👍

Yes, you can insert a micro SD to the camera so you can save many photos from it. You can have a copy of the photos from the micro sd card even without printing them (but without the instax frame) only printed photos can be save with the instax frame on it.

Every photo taken from the camera are saved on the gallery (camera internal memory can save 45 images) use a microSD card for bigger space. Every printered photos are saved on print history (print history can save upto 50 images, if exceeded to 50 old print history are replaced with the new one)

Yes, it charge with type-c to USB cable, i use my cellphone charger to charge it. Fully charged less than an hour. You need micro SD because it only save 45 photos on internal memory.
