Easier (less time consuming) way for the 6th question: Sum up the two equations without multiplying ; 5x-5y=-20 Then factor the common coefficient 5(x-y)=-20 Then divide the both sides with 5 x-y=-4 That’s what question wants you to find.

For question #6, you could start with simply adding the two equations ...that will give you 5x - 5y = -20 and then divide both sides by 5 which gives you the value of x - y. I think this strategy or method involves a "bit" of seeing the values, and that helps to decide whether you want to add the two equations (versus subtract or do something else or a longer procedure), but this method works out easy and quick for this particular question.

17th question I find it much easier to simply combine fractions and simplify them so that they'll be reduced to 1/3x = 2/3, then you'll have the same denominators

I’m sorry but isn’t the last question supposed to be 3/4 because the partner is 16 not 20 , and the question before it aren’t we supposed to add 100 to it not just 50 since he said 2 burgers not just one so the amount is supposed to be 420 not 370, right?

Why would it be 3/4? The question itself said that sides of triangle DEF are dividend 3 of triangle ABC and for previous question x + 50 not x + 100 for each grp of burger so found x by that equation we can just add 50 to it
