Not only are there console players, there are PC players who just want to boot up the game and have things. They aren’t gonna make the effort to comb through CC and Mods. They will just eventually buy growing together.

Actually, any item that is present in multiple packs needs to be included in the base game to work properly due to programming issues.

@@Squirty___ which makes no sense whatsoever because for YEARS simmers have complained that when packs release new gameplay objects they don’t match any other furniture and so don’t look good outside the pack’s aesthetic, but for this one pack they actually take the time to make multiple variations of the new object to not just match their new furniture set but also two sets of base game furniture, and because of this everyone is screaming that obviously the item should be free. Thanks a lot, now they’ll never do that again and we’ll go back to gameplay objects having only one style with minimal swatches.

The fact that this video just changed the game for people who only own bg, I’ve never seen anybody talk about this table being like a sales system and owning a shop in bg, this is game changing for those people! I’m so glad and now I’m gonna be using it as well cause I never knew it was functional, I always saw it in cottage living videos so I lost hope but now I know that I have it with city living and basegame!

It's better than accidentally clicking Manage Worlds when actually you want your Library. (Yes, I've done that a few times.) So my complaint about the shopping cart is that it should be between the Library and Manage Worlds buttons ... I'd much rather have to dismiss a quick popup than wait through one loading screen getting out and another getting back in to the lot.

@@Inspirational-17 The base game code supports the packs that’s why they do patches before most releases. While there may be ‘fixes’ they also need to prep the base game for the pack. All that to say, because the basegame code for something exist *now*, it does not mean it was always there since 2014. Like because the selling table exist in multiple packs the code in the game needs to tell the object how to work. Different versions of the object are behind a paywall, but the code it is calling on to work is basegame. So probably a lot of things are “base game” code (current day) that don’t have any useable objects for that code until you buy (insert pack).

“Around the sims 4” has several kids CC objects, including a swing set. Since the main thing I have been doing is enhancing my kids objects, I can say a lot is actually out there. Ravasheen has a slide for kids that I love. As I think the only one in-game is the one you can get as an addon to the treehouse in growing together. Which doesn’t help with parks where I just want standard play equipment. There’s also a basegame infant mat. You can’t do tummy time as that is growing together locked, but still handy for like giving your baby a nap in the living room without taking them all the way to a crib.

Was it Parenthood or the Toddler update that the ballpit and tunnel crawl came into play? I remember there being a slide and it came as a set, but you could also use the ballpit, tunnel crawl and slide seperately.

@@jenniferc.6165 those are just for toddlers, not older children/kids. Even the kids room stuff is pretty limited in stuff kids (not toddlers) can use. A giant voidcritter station and that puppet theater was all they got in kids room stuff where as the toddler stuff had more ‘play’ equipment. Even CC creators have made more stuff for toddlers exclusively than kids or useable by both. There are some small toys for both in the game.

With the sales table, I have found the the Home Chef Hustle one is much much better than the others. It says "start food sale" but you can sell all the regular things on it. I sold multiple items in quick succession with the HCH table, the others took me forever to sell anything...

Yes!! This is the reason I stopped playing like a year ago because of them forcing us to move to the EA App. They’ve received so many complaints and don’t do anything about it! The Kalintr0n made a palm swing that looks like a bent palm tree! its one of my favorite CC objects. perfect for island living and oasis springs. however i think the tree mesh was taken from island living so it might still be required.

Sandy from Around the Sims has a custom swing set in her kids playground pack, and Ravasheen has a set called Mood Swings, which has some standalone swings (optional frame peaceable separately) you can hang (by lining up with alt) from tree branches, beams indoor ceilings, anywhere you like!

Ravasheen (an awesome mod creator) has made cc swings for the game. You can even put them in a tree branch as if the kids built it themselves.

I can't get over how braindead the "using lots from the gallery is stealing" take is. The gallery only exists so that people can share their creations for other people to use in their games. If they don't want someone else using their Sims or lots, they don't have to upload. Anyone accusing you of "stealing" for simply using a lot has to have the brain of a young toddler.

I think it's really cool to make videos like this. Because you often bash the packs, often rightfully so. So it's nice that you make videos like, "Yeah, I keep telling you not to buy useless packs. Here are some resources you didn't know you had available." I can't find the console controls online, SahM and bean has a community that could probably help you. Honestly it's life changing. I drag cooked food into the fridge, then when my toddler needs to eat, drag it onto the counter, let them get a serving, then put it back in the fridge. So much easier than that damned highchair.
