Yeah if you just use the normal table, it will sell the entire dish as a single item and then they just walk away with it. You could always do that, that’s not new. With the food stall, they’ll buy a single serving at a time and then hang out and eat it (and sometimes sit down). Plus the food stall auto-stocks.

If you put a dining table and chairs alongside the food stall, they'll use them. In my expererience, they ignored counters/barstools.

I've watched videos with sims only using the 2 closest chairs to the stall while ignoring the furthest chairs, all of them around the same dinning table (the table was really close to the stall, like 1 tile away). I really wish sims detected sitting spots (any kind) in a wider area like sims always do in other circumstances.

Here's a food hack that I like a lot. If you have Realm of Magic, you can use the caudron to make certain foods (including Mac and Cheese) and you get 12 servings of it. If you leave it in the caudron, it never goes bad so you can just always have a batch on reserve for when you run out.

I've been playing Johnny Zest in Unlucky Home Chef Hustle Scenario. Pretty fun. I had a sale in the Desert Bloom park (Oasis Springs) and they did sit at the picnic tables. I've heard that there were a lot of fires with this pack and Unlucky Chef is supposed to have a fire every time they cook, but actually he was successful quite a bit. I had most success selling alcohol. Focaccia is pronounced "Fo-kah-shah" If you are working on the Computer Whiz aspiration, you can have your Sim work on novels for the Bestselling Author aspiration and that counts toward your 100 hours on the PC. The Fabulously Wealthy aspiration doesn't need to be active. Most others do.

Just last night I finished my cursed scenario and thought tomorrow I’m going to start a pizza cooking rags to riches let’s play in taratosa.. but I want to get to the food stand play quickly …. I’ll just make her live in her kitchen so we can prioritize food stuff after focusing on gardening. It’s fine. Then here you areeeeeee todayyyyyyyy but credit where credit is due I hadn’t thought of taking it to sixam, that’s a fun spin, good job! In my game, brytani cho always buy the most expensive food and she buys multiple times every time i go selling, so she's my favorite customer 😂 also, i noticed that whenever i sell to different worlds, my customers are always that world's locals. If a townie is homeless then they always show up

Minor as it is, depending on how much you care, as "yard sale" items sims just kinda buy anything on the table like they would a table lamp or something. With the food stand, they buy and eat the food as well. And there is the tie in to the aspiration. If you are just doing rags to riches and don't care about those little details added by the food stand, honestly you could proably just sell from the yard sale table. If you want the benefits of the aspiration (and the appliances of the pack) then the food stand has some benefits. But it really is EA adding a very minor new spin on something they already did. They could have offered the new appliances for free or as a 99 cent fun purchase or put them in a bigger pack in future. The home chef doesn't add much you couldn't already do.

They also don't take individual servings from the yard sale (unless you manually separate them out) so yes it's possible to sell food, but you can't bring ghosts back to life with it because they won't eat a plate of food right there, they'll just put it in their inventory and let it rot in their ghostly pocket
