With the SG2100 motorized system the dish moves from east to west to track the satellites positioned along the Clarke belt. Good for any offset dish with a U-bolt or Pole mounting up to 120 cm satellite dish.

Three important parameters are required to correctly align a motorized c band (TVRO) dish for viewing the entire satellite arc or Clarke Belt.
1. Azimuth Angle (True South/Not Magnetic South);
2. Elevation Angle;
3. Declination Angle;
Use a compass to point your dish south and use the chart below to find your "modified" polar mount elevation and declination angle.
Once you start locking satellite transponders, fine tune your azimuth, elevation and declination angles until you peak all satellite signals. Lock down your dish.

Go to the Dish Alignment table in your manual or on www.tvrosat.com/resources.html
Enter your Latatude and Elivation on the Motor. Mine was Lattude 44 and my Elivation was 46
For my Deinclination Angle on the DISH I subtracted the Declination Angle
(Degrees) 6.07° from the Elevation Angle (Degrees)44.66°
44.66° - 6.07° = 37.96 (37.96 Deinclination angle on the dish)
Use a compas to find your true south location.
go to www.DishPointer.com and find your latitude and longitude. Enter that into your receivers USALS (Universal Satellites Automatic Location System) under your motor settings.
The plumb pole is real critical with these setups.
And to find your true south satellite go to the one closest to your highest most southern part of the ark (True South should be 0 on the motor) on where your Longitude is set to the closest sat you can lock to that.
In my case I am at 76.48 West so I moved the dish's Azimuth to 87 west. And then adjusted the Azimuth until I got signal on the receiver.
I did adjust the Declination angle on the dish to fine tune the signal by a hair and got better signal. Moved it half a baby finger and lost signal.

Hey Robbie, been away from the hobby for almost a decade, saw your vids and got the itch to go back to the hobby. A cheap trick I remember when setting up my old 36 inch motorized dish back in the day: get a u-shaped exhaust pipe clamp from canadian tire and mount it on the pole just below where the motor clamps on the pole. This prevents the motor/dish from sliding down the pole when you loosen the motor clamps to swing the motor/dish left or right. With the motor clamps loose, the motor would be sitting on the exhaust pipe clamp and swinging the motor/dish would be a breeze. Shoutout from Durham Region (Ajax).

The reason I love the H-H Motors si that you don't need extra cables. Just a quad shield RG6U coaxial cable and the 100-120 cm dish. I would recommend MESH dishes for H-H motors. And your receivers is also a positioner. I installed mine in May 2018 a 100 cm Ku Band MESH dish, an AMIKO H-H Motor and recently I replaced the old LNB (which was 4 years old) with a AMIKO ECO L-408 LNB 4 outputs and the signal strength and quality is much higher especially on weak transponders.

The most tuned are HotBird 13 East (it's exactly like Galaxy 97 West), Astra 19.2 East (Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain) Astra 28.2 (UK and Ireland) and depending by the country you can also tune Eutelsat 5 West (Italy and France), Amos 4 West and Astra 4.8 East (Ukraine), Eurobird 9 (Italy, France, Hungary) Eutelsat 16 East (Romania, Albania, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia), Astra 23.5, Badr 26 East (Arabic, movies are in english and subtitles are arabic). Hellassat 39 East (Grece, Bulgaria, Romania), Turksat 42 East (Turkey), Azerspace 46 East (Azerbaijan), Belintersat 51 East (Belarus, Czehia, Slovakia),TurkmenAlem/MonacoSat 52 East If you are in Middle East besides Badr 26 East you can also tune Eutelsat 7 and 8 West still arabic channels.

Up or Down depends SOLELY on the Manufacturer, Example: Mine is a STAB or Fortec Star HH120 and it mounts with the shaft pointing up, NOT down, So be careful and read the instructions. It does make a difference. I think a good indicator might be where the inner mounting holes are located, mine are on the shaft side (Up) and yours are on the opposite side of shaft side (Down), not sure if that's a Universal Law but I just noticed that.

I can't seem to lock in 87w to save my life. I put the dish back on the stationary pole and 75% signal and 0 quality is all I can get using my gtfinder v8. I have no problem finding 97 99.2 or 103w. If move the motor to one of those and lock the signal in will the dish still be properly aligned to the arc? Do you have any hints as to what I may be doing that is preventing me from locking in 87w? Hey Robbie. When I look at Lyngsat, I see some channels are scrambled using MPEG 2 or 4 and Power VU. Are MPEG and Power VU different scrambling systems? I haven't used my C Band dish since 2009. I have lots of questions regarding non-digicipher scrambling systems. What decoders are available to buy so I can connect them to my dish. I'm trying to get back into using my 10.5' BUD. Please help. I'm located in the southern USA and have a clear view of the southern sky.

So this motor only moves from left to right, it does not move up and down? Also I am a bit confused on what satelite finder I should get, at first I wanted to get GTMedia V8 Finder Pro because it supports h265 decoding and also has dvb-t/2/c But after reading some horrible forum posts about how not selective and not sensitive it is and that it doesnt even mesure right I am a bit hesitent to get it I just want some portable device that could move my motor for testing, that would allow me to watch tv on it snd that would have upgradable fw (if its fw is open sourced or custom fw exists (same thing like dreambox has done) that would be a plus, and that would allow me to input custom lnb parameters and transpoder list to it

No any subscription service is going to have a proprietary receiver and won't have the option to scan in the free channels. There really should be a law that allows them to do that.

What are they saying at the end of the video is you could Loop out your free-to-air receiver or use the combiner and run it to the orbi TV receiver. Or you can just unplug your orby tvreceiver and plug in your free day receiver when you want to use the appropriate receiver.

You seemed to have skipped a few steps there showing how to setup the motor drive. On the Koqit K1 I can't find any way to configure it so the SG-2100 is not going to work. I had to get out an older Pansat receiver to make the motor work!

The Koqit K1 may have it in some other menu in the settings. All the different brand box's are different interfaces.

Robbie Strike there are vertical old channels unused anymore but my building has 11 floors :| community don’t agree for antenna for single apartment and building network for all floors can be expensive and I don’t even imagine how many converters and amplifiers should be on the dish and fighting with community is too much effort. That 2100 motor is poor quality I went through 2 of them. Do yourself a favor buy a STAB.

My first motor lasted me maybe 8 years. The dish blew down a few times. Not good for the motor. I looked at Stab motors. The ones I saw were like the one in the video where it had the wrong shaft fitting. Robbie Strike I’m in Texas gets super hot But the STAB motor is now going on about six years with no issues the 2100 I couldn’t get two months out of it before I had to send it back to the factory they put a new board in it then when I went out a second time I just trashed it

I'm going to agree about STAB. I've had one working here for at least 9 years now. I've got a 1 metre commercial dish on a STAB HH90 (designed for 0.9 metre dish) and have pushed it to the limits, and the thing keeps on moving.

The hardest part is getting the angles right on the motor and dish you didn't cover this at all useless info .Its like saying aim the dish till it works .

Yet another guy who may know what he is talking about but does not clearly tell his pupils. TYoo many edits jumping thru and abbreviations. Very clever but useless.
