Satellite Tag Dispersal Movement from North Carolina

On May 3rd, 2024, fishing aboard Marlin Gull out of Hatteras Island, NC, with Captain Kenny Midgett, boat owner Doc Iyke Blakemore, and mates Mark Schultz, Chris Whitley, Bryant Stokes, and Greg Jenkins, we deployed our first satellite tag in North Carolinian waters. The satellite tag was sponsored by Grady-White Boats and the 36" female carried the tag for 29.1 days when the tag popped up on June 1st, 2024, 1,025.52 miles from the deployment site.
