Here's an emotional outburst: AAAAAAAAAAAH! You made that so easily. I am so looking forward to doing that tonight. I just ordered some satin so that won't be added until next week. I've been working on a pattern with odd instructions. I'll find a tutorial for that one. But in the meantime, I will do this one tonight. Mom (it's for her) and I play Scrabble every Thursday evening. Since we'll be playing for nearly 3 hours, I will have something to do when it's not my turn. I know that's TMI, but I am excited. Thank you so much for sharing. Just subscribed, too!

LOL @ emotional outburst!!! First time viewer here, so pardon me if this has been addressed already, but, do you have a video showing how to do this without a machine. I'm a new crocheter and just made my first hat and I'd like to add satin without screwing it up.
@ColorMePorcha3 жыл бұрын
We all have them 🤷🏽♀️😊 No, I don't, but I'm sure it wouldn't take much to hand stich a lining to your hat. You won't screw it up; just take your time. Those stitches can be ripped out and re-done to your liking. Best wishes 😊

Hello again. Quick question. If Choose to use the J needle first would that ruin the look of the slouch. And don’t use the K at all?

Great tutorial. Quick question, after you sew the two pieces together, do you turn it right side out? I’m confused.
@ColorMePorcha3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Nick! No, I placed the lining inside the hat shiny side out (the part that touches the hair), lined the two pieces up, pinned them and sewed them together via the crochet side. Hope that makes sense 😊

Hello I have a quick question. When I am crocheting my circle is curling. It is not flat like yours. PleAse tell me what I am doing wrong. Thank you so very much!
@ColorMePorcha2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Sometimes the biggest cause of curling can a about your tension being too tight, using a bigger hook might help. Best wishes ✨️

Would this work for a summer crochet chemo hat? I'm making one for a lady who doesn't want a holey crochet hat because she's afraid people will be able to see her scalp. I'm making hers out of a bamboo/cotton blend yarn for softness and breathability.

How many stitches would would you add for larger hats?
@ColorMePorcha4 жыл бұрын
So I get about 1 inch for every 3 stitches... With decreasing to the 40 sts I ended up with a circumference of 18 inches... So for a larger size I suggest starting with 80 sts and decrease down to 60. Before you switch to I hook check for comfort, at the point you can add another inc round if you like. I hope that makes sense😊

Did you decrease the stitches in order for the hat to fold like that? Otherwise, I'm imagining you could simply continue going around like a rug. The video skipped from it lying flat, to it being in basket form. Also, I would have enjoyed seeing you weave in the ends with the needle since I've never used that before.
@faybrink-yourhoustonrealtor2 жыл бұрын
No, once you've gotten the hat to the widest width it will be around the crown of the head you continue rows with the same number of stitches around row by row and it will become a tube.
