Its pretty wild to me to see factory satin and flat clears, who would have thought...haha i sprayed some years ago with a flattening agent in a regular clear is all I've ever done so far. i really appreciate your professional guidance i'm sure ill need to spray one at some point. Having this as reference could save 100s of hours of mistakes in the learning process to acceptable results. i know i'm not the only one that truly appreciates you sharing this knowledge. peace and love brother!

Great Video and great job, the sheen looks prefect, they can be hard to get right and as you say theres a lot more to take in to consideration when doing satin finishes, less room for error Satin finishes are very satisfying jobs to do when they come out nice 👍👏

Kandy Man. I’m not a fan of the satin finishes. I like that color but in high gloss. The prep for satin finish is a PITA. As usual you nailed the color match and finish. Have a good night!

To me i can see a tiny bit of difference, but its definately within reason. My insurance company basically pays to get the whole side painted everytime a satin job comes thru the shop.

What psi are you spraying your basecoat on the 3m? Also question from the last color tint video. In my case the colors i mix rarely look like the test chips so its usually having to mix a couple different variants or tinting. Do u suggest to tint over mixing couple oz of different variants and getting a close match without tinting?

Hi mate I sent you a message the other week kandy man 👨 I got my bumper painted ford focus mk3 front bumper and its totally different from the car 🚗 I went back to the paint shop showing him the paint he mixed up with the spectro camera its a mile out hez gave me more paint my mate said a blend so the front bumper has to be Da sanded down clear coat off and re paint it did you say 600 grit

Painting bumpers, moldings off the car l understand, but doors , fenders and hoods off ...why , a shop like yours painted my hood and fenders off with only scratches, went to trade my car, looked at the bolts chipped they thought my car was in an accident gave way less money

i have a question it really humbled me because its the first time i have it happen and i do alot of cars and never happens i painted a car 2 days ago and the base coat looked like it had sand scratches and before i applied the base coat and clear i sanded the primer even used guide coat and there was no scratches on the primer. i dont know what i did wrong did the primer sink into the scratches ? maybe too deep of a scratch ? is there ways i can prevent this, i need some help this really set my confidence down that i had on my work because i always try to improve and do my best
