Satin Stitch Succulent Embroidery

I am doing roses right now, and Im having a lot of problems figuring out where to start filling the pedal and in what direction to cover the pedals. Do you have a rose stitching tutorial? Your videos are so helpful!

I don't have any roses with the satin stitch, but I'm guessing they would be similar to these. Drawing lines on the pattern sometimes helps me, and don't be afraid to make those lines diagonal if there's a smaller part of the petal on one end. Start with that middle line and then just keep splitting the area in half.

Most are hanging on the wall of my craft room with command hooks and loops of thread. Sometimes I'll give them away to friends and family.
