Many of us have actually played this game for thousands of hours, in Early Access. 1.0 has doubled the size potential. So yeah, whatever price this is the cheapest entertainment you can find. Many fans have bought it twice, on Epic then on Steam. And we have bought merch. Just because we wanted to support the amazing dev team with more money than they are asking for this game. So yeah, it is worth it.

As a Factorio lover, i am an absolute fan of Satisfactory. This really is a 3D Factorio with a few other interesting differences (belts, building overclocking, power management...) making these two both similar and different at the same time. There was some issues in early access making the game really laggy when factories scales up, true. But is has been fixed now. Funny thing, I am the kind of player that starts many things but never finished the game because I always find improvements or new ways to do things, which is why I had maybe 10 or 12 saves from early access (I discovered this at update 6). The only thing frustrating me at the moment is the same as in Factorio: fluids math ! One thing is sure, it's not a casual game. When i launch the game, it's not for 20 minutes but more likely hours !

Okay, you convinced me, I'm giving it another shot... Factorio's scale and more "industrial" (slash less "clean-sparkling-high-tech") style made me ultimately not re-buy Satisfactory (gave my old Steam account to ex-wife when we split haha), in favor of just playing Factorio obsessively forever... ...but this does look cooler than I remember, and, hey! Not EA any more!

what subnautica was for survival, this is for the factorio-likes. its insanely beautiful and huge map....the size of the machines and you being able to walk through your own megalomania...not one wrong word you said there. bought it early on and ....well. at one point i become so overwhelmed with my own production i usually give up but still. so awesome to actually bring all that to life.

Well, I stopped playing EA for Satisfactory years ago for two main reasons. 1) The performance just were not there. I have a pretty good rig (i9 & RTX3080) and even like that, building a large factory will make you see the land of 15 FPS. At the time, when we opened the discussion I remember someone from the studio answering that Satisfactory is not about building mega bases but smaller outposts so they wouldn't address it. 2) In 3 years of EA, they haven't added a single tier of progression... which is the entire point of this game. So, yeah, every update was cosmetic and it started to feel like the studio forgot they were building a factory game and not a Sims-like game. When I saw the 1.0 announcement, unfortunately I just didn't really care. It's way too late for me to be interested in Satisfactory when games that are incredibly superior like Factorio are around, especially when Factorio will receive it's first DLC in a month.

@@Nyxson I didn't even know your channel existed before today so I haven't seen you play it at all. Performance was horrible back them it is what it is, and it's unfortunate. To my knowledge, there was no single tier of progression added since Update 3 which IIRC was in 2021. They did add a few shenanigans I'm not interested in, but not progression. It's been uranium for years and it's just not my thing. It's fine if people are having fun, I just know I'm not as I am not looking for a game oriented towards cosmetic building.

Who said anything about the channel? It was in THIS VIDEO 😁 Also you are correct. Just checked it. Update 4 (not 3, but doesn't really matter) in 2021 that added Tier 8, and Tier 9 was added now. Even though I understand your sentiment of wanting more and more, I think optimizing experience (which you didn't like, probably rightfully so) was a better choice of action. And if game can run at 60+fps on Lenovo Legion Go at 1200p resolution on Medium with just 15w TDP without any additional frame generation (and trust me, I can push this thing to max graphics with some tweaking), then it will run on your device like a butter

I don't understand these the performance was just not there. I have run Satisfactory for years on my old i7-6700K 32Gb ram and a 1080 Nvidia card. Sure I could not have all the highest settings, but its ran 60 fps at 1440p. On my new R7 7800X3D, 64Gb ram and a 4070ti pro I can use some of the fancy lighting and shading effects. But the game always was really well.

@@pallenda I created a platform of 500x500 once just to have a mega base above the sea. This destroyed my framerate, not even a single machine put down. Just the platform. I tried it again on Update 7 and it was still horrible. I just gave up.

sure it's "good" but it's really boring for a casual gamer, the majorty of feedback thus far is the early access echo chamber. the story was a complete dissapointment, it pretty much doesn't exist. and the story is how you keep casual gamers interested. also, multplayer is stll very broke... people like me and you will play it. not one of my freinds would though.

Im what you could call a "casual gamer" im not very smart, my factory layout are shit, i don't organize, but i enjoy the game. And the reason why i enjoy the game is because of the bomb and the ecosystem destruction, the only reason i do the part that i don't ejoy as much (complex parts) is because the weapon of destruction at the end of that are amazing. I was destroying tree with a chainsaw, then i found out about Nobelisk, so i found coal and sulfur. After that, i found out about Cluster bomb, so i made Oil, and then i found out about Nuclear bomb, and guess what, im stuck at oil stage cuz im too smooth brain to launch phase 3.

It doesnt even relate to being a casual player or not. Its purely you either enjoy factory games or you dont. Its as simple as that, was never their goal to draw in every gamer nor should any game ever have that as a goal.

I find it ironic that people are complaining that this game is "bad for casual players", considering it's one of the most casual/laid back factory builders out there. If you want a non-casual factory building game try Factorio for a few hours. Also, if you play a game for the story, you should probably look to a different medium. Games are about gameplay, that is their defining feature and the reason they exist. If Story turns you away, then good, you're not welcome.
