@@ApolloMcrib extra z banding is from a poorly tuned printer and the extra time needed for the tool head to move to take the picture is nominal. I did a thirty two hour print which would have been thiry one hours with out the additional moves. It takes a little more than one second to move the print head between layers.

Head shot phyco so is it printing one tiny bit and returning home before a picture is taken? and then going back out for another addition and then returning home before the next picture? I'm very curious because the print head (or whatever its actually called) doesn't seems to even get blurry like you exspect with motion in a timelapse

As requested, here are my suggestions to print: 1. A drag chain for cable management or ornemental chain 2. Complex rotating gear system (heart shape or box shape gear, mechanical working clock with tourbillon, etc) 3. Any Working/moving 3D parts are always awesome to watch! 4. Specialized filament (UV/sun or temperature changing color, Glow n dark, etc) 5. Multiple Changing filament during the impression (stop, change, continue, stop, change, etc) Have fun!

Essentially, special instructions for your printer tell it to move the extruded to that corner after every layer. It then takes a picture, and prints the next layer, and repeats this to get a timelaspe

WildRoseBuilds so instead of 5 hours it takes like an extra hour lmfao
@jeremybergman2822
@jeremybergman2822 5 жыл бұрын
Maybe a little extra, but not nearly that much. I mean, consider that all the printer has to do is essentially move the extruder to a corner and move it back. That takes a few seconds per layer, which, unless you have a 3600 layer print (you don’t) wouldn’t take so long as you would think

Do you print these with supports then edit them out? Or do you just print very slow to avoid defects and overhangs?
@WildRoseBuilds

Not sure if this counts as necroposting, but I would suggest looking at the Creality Ender 3, it's about $200 and actually has pretty good quality, especially for the price. I've had mine for a little while, a month or two, and I might actually get a second one when I get the chance.
