This buns are super delicious soft and fluffy !! It’s easy to prepare and you can enjoy it with your favorite jams or spreads you love.
You will only need the following for dough:
120ml lukewarm milk
120ml lukewarm water
3 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar
1 tsp instant dry yeast
1 medium egg
30ml oil
420g all purpose baking flour
1/4 tsp salt
30g unsalted butter (softened)
For egg wash: whisk 1 yolk with 1 tbsp milk
Instructions for dough:
1. Combine milk,water,sugar,vanilla sugar, yeast, and oil in a bowl. Whisk until completely dissolve.
2. Add flour and salt. Whisk to combine evenly. Knead for 5 minutes then add butter. Knead again for 10 minutes or until completely smooth and elastic. Cover and let it sit for 1 hour.
3. 1 hour later deflate dough. Divide into 12 parts 65g each. Shape them into round. Cover to prevent from drying while doing the process.
4. Flatten each dough into 6cm diameter. Cut enough size left and right side but don’t discard it. Shape it into small ball and set aside. Use this to fill the hole of the bread.
5. Slit 7x as I do in the video then roll dough upward. Just follow the process as shown in the video until everything is done.
6. Arrange into baking tray. Cover and leave it for 30 minutes.
7. 30 minutes later brush with egg wash and bake 20-25 minutes at 180°C.
