I wasn’t using it in the sense of fashionable or short-lived, just that it’s a trendy (or trending) topic due to the massive increase in cases due to long COVID presentations. It has gone from a barely discussed topic that had a more rare, (though no less devastating) presence to one that many more people are discussing because of increased prevalence.

You may want to try CLR for cleaning out hard water stains and deposits. You can turn off the water supply to your toilets and flush the water before adding CLR to sit on those stains, or soak faucet heads in a little bucket with CLR, and then put in the elbow grease. Love the channel! I hope your lab work and cardiology appointment shed some light on your situation.

I was diagnosed with pots in June and I continue to be devastated that I am participating in such a trendy illness!! Fun fact: if your bp goes down when you stand up you might have orthostatic hypotention instead of pots. That's what everyone used to have so it's more vintage. Tips: It might help you if you sit on a little stool or on the floor instead of crouching and transition to standing slowly. Also, i use a stool to sit on in the shower, in the kitchen when i cook, and in the bathroom when i brush my teeth and do my hair. Wear compression socks like an old lady. Don't follow a low salt diet! Up your electrolytes, if your md approves. Olives are my favorite. All that helps the hemodynamic dysfunction that pots is. There are people that have improved their pots symptoms by simply changing how they live. Ugh. Sleep well, decrease anxiety, be at peace, didn't carry tension around, be satisfied. Easy as that! 😂 No really, simplifying things and praying a lot has helped me the most!

Hello Beth! I love your videos, you have the sarcastic humor that runs in my genes, lol. A suggestion for the laundry sink faucet… try a baggie of vinegar rubber banded to the faucet for a while, like a couple hours. Then, use something like a bottle scrubber or a wire brush to clean out any loosened debris. And then rinse of course. If you don’t want to wait forever, use a diluted CLR solution, instead of the vinegar, that will totally eat up any limescale deposits. Pretty sure that might be the issue with the faucet. Just an idea. I have to do that from time to time also. Good luck! I originally started haunting your channel because Mac from Midwest Magic Cleaning said you were just so awful, but very funny, and he thought I would be a rotten viewer if I didn’t!!! 😂 gotta love threats to control this cleaning cult….. he is so cruel and heartless but he is gonna save the world, lol You do a wonderful job, I know it feels never ending but you are still in there, doing what you can and not giving up. That’s life! And you do manage to do lovely things!!!!! You are one of my favorites now!

Hahaha I call my little calico "madam!" when she's being naughty (or just doing weird stuff) too. I'm super invested in the heart rate saga now. It does seem like it's positional, but there's two good things: 1. It's not shooting up to like 200 or something crazy like that. 2. You don't seem to be feeling dizzy or faint when it goes up. Those are both things that can happen with POTS and they really suck. So whatever is happening (hopefully not POTS?) It seems like you're catching it before it's too severe! It's great that you're documenting it too

Good morning, You might be calling yourself more anxiety by watching your heart rate so close. You're moving your cleaning your heart rate's going to go up. As long as it comes back down with rest I think you're okay. I work for a cardiologist for 8 years so I do have some background. Not saying don't go get it checked out because definitely get your heart checked but just saying you may be causing yourself a little bit more anxiety by watching it so closely. Anxiety will definitely make your heart rate go up. Love your videos by the way.

@@feraltradwife You could just be having what they call paroxysmal tachycardia too. It's just increased heart rate for no reason but you said when you rest it goes down so that's good. I'm sure they probably already done blood work but just drinking water doesn't mean you're fully hydrated either Make sure you have enough you know other electrolytes in your system as well. I bet you do end up with a halter monitor or even an event monitor which is like a 30-day monitor.

Sure looks like POTS if your HR is increasing 30 points or more on standing. Someone here mentioned there are lots of folks being diagnosed with it after COVID infx, which I know you didn’t have. I think other things can trigger it too. ❤ Glad you’re tracking it! It’s good info for the cardiologist.

If you untwist the area the water comes out of the faucet you may see some debris that clogs the water stream. Might have to take it all apart (requires no tools) but stuff usually settles in the mesh as well. Just be sure if you take the little things apart that you set them down in order (it’s probably only two-three plastic pieces and the mesh)

My sister had alerts on her Apple Watch to tell her she was having issues with her heart rate. She works in a hospital and her GP sent her for tests immediately. Absolutely nothing wrong with her! They did full heart tests. She’s a nurse too so knows what the results show. Literally all fine. So hopefully it’s just a blip on your watch too.x😊❤

I'm suffering with my heart. the Dr told me to buy a blood pressure monitor and cuff.I have a ox meter and an app on my phone. all 3 readings are different each time I use them. I'm now waiting to get an appointment for a check up. I hope it's nothing serious. I also have bad reflux.

have you had the watch calibrated, to make sure it's correct. oh, you just said you've compared it to hospital. lol. but, really, should get it calibrated with someone actually taking your pulse and compare to what watch says. i know those wrist bp measurers can be way off. good luck. oh the finger thing is cool. i think there are things, like biofeedback, that can help you lower your own heart rate. i've always had a high heart rate! but, when young, didn't have way to measure except by taking pulse with finger or going to dr. ha! love your show. you are hilarious.

I have high heart rate to and I’m on medication but it still goes high ,my daughter who was 18 at the time complained to me she could feel her heart was beating out of her chest so I took her straight to the doctors , the doctors said she should have called a ambulance as she could of had a stroke turns out it was her contraceptive pill causing her heart rate to be so high ,I just wondered if any medication you could be taking could cause this issue of your heart rate to fluctuate ,look after yourself love from the uk

Yes but it’s a long answer. Short is the twins are quite autistic and didn’t function well in public school so I polled them, and the Covid convinced me to pull my son and we haven’t looked back

I haven’t watched your whole video yet, but it seems like you are having atrial fibrillation! Does it feel irregular? Sit down and do the EKG on the watch and send it to your phone, then print it out and send to your doctor.

@@Nancy-td9xh it didn’t “see” one but I did do a few. In the hospital they didn’t see any atrial fibrillation either. But I bet I get a halter monitor

Elevated heart rate is normal when working that doesn’t mean she has atrial fibrillation.

@@feraltradwife it could literally just be that. I have severe anxiety and PTSD and I’ll be standing there doing dishes and all of a sudden for no reason at all my heartbeat shoots up. I can physically feel it. The more I think about it the worse it gets. When I work I’m fine. Maybe try and gage how you’re feeling when it happens.
