I've watched alot of farrier videos, but you are consistently clean with your work. You do the entirety of the hoof where some will just not leave a neat and tidy job. This is excellent.

@francoislepatriote37902 жыл бұрын
I thought the hoof was a hard black material that was difficult to carve where you just had to put a hot horseshoe under the hooves.😂 It looks like the work of a cabinetmaker carved in wood, and a blacksmith.
@PolymurExcel Жыл бұрын
I mean it’s not too hard, it’s made of the same material as your toenails and fingernails. The hoof I mean, not the process of restoring it.

I've asked on your Twitter account, but haven't received a reply. What do you brush on their hooves at the end? Oil? Resin or epoxy? Just curious. EXCELLENT work! You are a master!
@kxtulapsi2 жыл бұрын
It’s called hoof oil :) most equestrians use it on a daily basis. It makes the hooves look good, and prevents them from drying & cracking, thats all i really have been taught lol
@ShannansShenanigans2 жыл бұрын
@Kxtu Thank you. I thought it looked like oil and would make more sense to help the hoof retain moisture like oil or lotion for us humans 😁
@jenngraham20122 жыл бұрын
It's called Hoof Guard. Its is a clear sealant for stronger healthier hooves, seals nail holes and small cracks in the hoof wall and holds in natural moisture. Added UV protection like Kevlar Aramid fiber used in bullet proof vest strengthen the hoof wall and help prevent quarter cracks.

@SuperMike2507 Жыл бұрын
it's an essential oil mixture . Depending on the brand it can contain ingredients like : bees wax, wool fat , linseed oil, lavender oil, ... It helps to prevent cracks and has anti-bacterial properties.

So I have never ridden a horse and know very little about them… but shoeing a domestic horse, what does a wild horse have issues with if they don’t have shoes
@kittencaretaker8163 Жыл бұрын
So the reason wild horses don't need horseshoes is because they are always moving on different terrain most of the time you can see wild horses running on grass sometimes on rocks and the hose basically turn themselves but wild horses don't have that because they're usually kept in stalls instead of walking on rocks and other terrain all the time
@yamato6114 Жыл бұрын
Wild horses walk on rougher terrain than domestic horses do, so their hooves are worn down naturally. Same reason wolves don’t need their nails clipped, but domestic dogs do.

Oh but by the look of what's on the horse's other leg they're keeping them very comfortable that is an ankle brace and it keeps the horses from getting tired when standing the horses are as comfortable as can be if the horse wasn't comfortable he would have a broken everything that horse would fucking kick him.
