As a middle age woman who is feeling “stuck” in her life, I have decided to explore my creativity by doing art. This is WAY outside my comfort zone but I think that is the point. I just stumbled on your channel and I’m super excited for the ideas. It is also incredibly encouraging to hear you discuss when you hate what you’ve made. Right now, I hate most of what I’ve made but you are helping me realize that is a normal part of being creative. I’m looking forward to filling my sketchbook with play!
@amieclay840915 күн бұрын
It’s true! We are our own worst critic. But I tell myself that even if I hate what I’ve made, _someone_ will like it, and I have found that to be the case!
@jackiepanila183915 күн бұрын
So true. But try to go back to it a few days later, you may find that you’re more pleased with it. Like anything else the more you do, the better you get. And you’re the only one that can do your own art.

I was you 18 months ago. My mantra every-time I sat down to paint was the old adage Perfection is the Enemy of Good. I just enjoyed the process and learning. Now I have created several things my inner critic loves and have made a few gifts.

I overheard my boyfriend saying to his friends how beautiful some woman is and that no other woman in the past 30 years has came anywhere near her beauty! He was talking about some movie star, but still, I'm so sad. I'm so glad to have a new video maybe I'll try to do one of these and feel better! I'm just so sad that it's genuinely hard to even do anything. I'm just laying here watching youtube on my laptop. I'm gonna really try to do one of these!

Please don't allow yourself to be defined by your boyfriend's (or anyone else's) shallow opinion of beauty. Own what you are.
@allyballyboo10215 күн бұрын
I think it's easy to separate celebrity beauty and real life, especially when talking to friends. I imagine he was talking in the realms of stardom, and not really linking it with anything other than movies and fiction. Don't let this pull you too low, talk to him and let him know how you feel, so you don't let this feeling grow out of control. But definitely also try the wonderful art hehe I hope you find a way to resolve this and it doesn't effect you self esteem. 💖💖

@kristiofca1 you are such a beautiful soul!
@bycreativepaula15 күн бұрын
Hi!!!! Please please never ever let anything ANYONE says or thinks make you doubt yourself or make you sad. We all see life from SUCH DIFFERENT angles, is not fair to your beautiful soul to let it be hurt by someone else’s point of view; no matter how important that person is in your life! Beauty is much much more, and much deeper than what we see on a screen, on a mirror or on our skin! Go give love to yourself by enjoying your time creating and knowing only how much you love yourself matters! Also I’ve loved seeing how members of our beautiful and nurturing community have given you comfort!!! ❤️❤️❤️ so much love right? So don’t be sad! ✨
