As a middle age woman who is feeling “stuck” in her life, I have decided to explore my creativity by doing art. This is WAY outside my comfort zone but I think that is the point. I just stumbled on your channel and I’m super excited for the ideas. It is also incredibly encouraging to hear you discuss when you hate what you’ve made. I like the leaves, especially with the gold marker accents! 🍂 But my favorite it the multicolored circles with the white accents! 🌈 The accents give it somewhat of a flow pattern to the composition!! 🥰

Am so enjoying your channel - I have been using the plastic wrap on watercolor technique for quite some time. My twist is finding floral shapes and leaves in the abstract design and using a fine black marker and/or colored pencils to enhance shape (and color). Thank you so much for wonderful ideas!

With the bubblewrap abstract piece, I saw it as an abstract landscape of a beach! The water in the foreground, cliffs behind and sunset sky behind it. That's what my brain saw almost instantly!

If you use a heat tool on your washing machine, you can remove easier, without rips & tears. If you don’t have heat tool, I know many people just grab their hair dryer. Hope that helps.

Hi @CreativePaula, I’m hoping you can help me. I tried this exercise coz I was feeling stuck. But I sucked at it and my paints seemed to dry before I could connect the next colour. I was wondering. Is it maybe my paints? I was using the Winsor & Newton cotman palette. What paints were you using might I ask?

Nope It wasn’t the paints, most likely the paper… this thick water color paper takes longer to dry ☺️

Try practicing limiting yourself with only one type of element… ie. just crosses, just circles, just straight lines

I overheard my boyfriend saying to his friends how beautiful some woman is and that no other woman in the past 30 years has came anywhere near her beauty! He was talking about some movie star, but still, I'm so sad. I'm so glad to have a new video maybe I'll try to do one of these and feel better! I think it's easy to separate celebrity beauty and real life, especially when talking to friends. I imagine he was talking in the realms of stardom, and not really linking it with anything other than movies and fiction. Don't let this pull you too low, talk to him and let him know how you feel, so you don't let this feeling grow out of control. But definitely also try the wonderful art hehe I hope you find a way to resolve this and it doesn't effect you self esteem. 💖💖

I do! But for some things I don’t want to mess with with how the water is moving by blowing on it haha 🫣

I know 🫣 I use one for some layers… but not everything because if it’s really wet it moves the paint and changes the ways the colors merge… lol I need to watercolor in sunny days!
