Great to see you, Robert! Good work as always. I have black walnut on my farm ... Do you do anything with the black walnut? And if so what & how do you process it? The Farm is looking good brother! Being around your age you've inspired me to start a thriving fruit Farm here on my 7 1/2 Acres in Alabama. You're one of a kind. I've always said that I wish that I had friends like you growing up, I believe it would have made a significant difference in me. Thanks for inspiring the younger generation to get back to a simpler, and beautiful way of life! Screw the city. God bless!!

I'm glad you addressed being kind. It's a shame our world has come to that, where grown people have to be reminded to be considerate of others, but here we are. You are easily my favorite content creator AND the one I've subscribed to the longest.❤️ I first started watching you when I was home from work, recovering from chemotherapy treatments. I'd been diagnosed in 2016. Never thought I'd follow anyone on KZbin and there you were. I loved your visits to the cemeteries and graveyards, loved learning the history, loved your gentle voice, and loved the learning. I've been here ever since. I appreciate you and all you do. Really. I know you work your patooty off in front of and behind the camera. You were made to be a content creator, with your skills as a photographer coming in handy, too. Don't pay those negative Nellys no never mind, but I know it's hard. I'd be the same way. You've got folks all around the world, literally, who love you. I've seen your lives and folks will be checking in from everywhere. Pretty amazing.💚 You take as much time as you want, need, and can set aside to work on your farm. I love watching your progress, love the learning process that I'm experiencing, and get excited to see you out there again.😁

I don't know if I'd ever have the courage to put myself up for criticism like you do, but I guess it's sort of like it is better to have love and loss than to never have loved. The love you have for history and the Old Byrd Farm and your experiences that you share with us are worth far more than the few gripey comments.

She’s watching you and approving what you’re doing. So ignore the nay sayers, thank them for watching and helping your channel grow and just keep posting wonderful content for the rest of your community to enjoy. We could all see how highly respected you are when your buddies came out to rescue you and Mr Dan from the mud a while back! Keep smiling & know most folks understand & appreciate all you do. 😊

All I have to say about cruel comments is MPAI. Including me sometimes. If your viewers don't know what that means, well, they need to find out before they go spouting off their negative comments. To the nasty anonymous people in the comments: Bless your heart. Robert has graciously invited us into his life. Use your manners and if you weren't taught any it's never too late to learn! Robert, I can't tell you how many times I've shared your "Wisteria Apocalypse" video. Usually in the comment section of a gardening segment of a home reno channel when having a conversation about that beautiful (?) plant. The vlogger is planting it and getting his/her viewers to imagine how beautiful it's going to be when it grows up and over wherever. I'll usually say though I love it too, it's not a plant that is recommended in the southern USA where I live unless you plan to live forever to control it. They think I'm exaggerating and that's when I link your video! Keep on being you! I think you are adorable!

Some people dont understand that fixing up a 140 year old house abandoned for a long time takes years when you’re on a fixed budget. Plus there is a lot of maintenance work involved with a property that size and even with help still takes lots work. Robert, you are one of my favorite YT channels precisely because of that lack of drama. I can relax with your videos, learn new things and share in your pleasure at seeing the OBF come to life. Your content on both channels is like a hot cocoa. Sadly the Schadenfreude id real. So many people seem to take pleasure in the misery of others, or being negative and critical. I get what you are saying that it can be hard to ignore the trolls. You work hard and provide interesting and quality content. Keep up the goos work. It is lovely to see spring in full swing there, i think we are a week and cooler temps behind you, in the mountain west. I loved seeing the dogs and the bees. I think that swamp grass will be the difference between a field of muck and an actual field. I remember lastnyear's crop of mucky swamp. 😂 If you've read this far (busy as you are.)... I do have a question. Do you change up the direction you mow? Circular one time , horizontal the next and so on? Or does it not matter because its a field, not a lawn?

When it is time to harvest, you drop what you’re doing and harvest. When your field has weeds waist high, you mow. And so on. Everything else needs to be worked in-between. Folks, don’t worry. My southern family is in TN, so that's what I know about southern crops. Anyway alfalfa is a good cover crop and only needs 4 cuttings a year in TN. Maybe that would work for you. Our bees here love clover and it makes for wonderful tasting honey. Keep on being you and educating us. My daughter begs me in every conversation to move to GA. God bless you for this video. I was told my house should of been done too. They have no idea what I have gone through in my personal life. More do they take in consideration that you have to maintain the yard in the summer months. I love watching your videos. I too am saving history. I don't even know how you have time to make videos. I love that you do that!! Keep up the great work! Heck with the key board clappers. They have no clue. I do. Your doing great!

I love your videos, Robert they make me happy when I watch them. There’s so much negativity going on in this world right now. I love the fact that you’re doing things at your pace when you’re always positive and I thank you for your videos. There’s always gonna be negative people, and I’m sorry that you have to deal with that

Robert, I'm just totally amazed by how far you've come, and everything you've done since I started watching your videos way back when. There's no law that says we have to know how to do everything before we start a project. What ever happened to learning as you go? I think if you look back, you'll be surprised by how much knowledge you've gained in just a few years. You're an amazing young man, and you have some wonderful friends in Mr. Dan, Scott, Brent and Cecil, etc. who sure don't seem to mind hanging out with you, which is a testament to your good character. Just keep doing what you're doing, and try not to worry about negative things people say out of ignorance and bad manners.

The people that are negative and critical are the unhappy ones and are not being fulfilled in their life with what they do. You are and that’s what matters! You manage operating that tractor as fast and well as Annie and Blue always manage getting out of the way while following you. Thanks for taking us along with you!!

Robert I love your videos. U til someone has walked in your shoes they have no right to criticize or to advise you on the best ways to do anything. Case in point is my husband and I. We combined 3 sons into one household...his 2 and my 1. It became a necessity to grow a garden, raise chickens, hogs and milk goats while they were growing up. He had experience in farming but I was a city girl. I taught myself how to can and to redo it revamp or repair as well as he did. We built our own house from scratch in Louisiana. When we moved here it was into a mobile home. We got our 6 acres here at a steal...cleared the property by hand. Then by doing all the work ourselves only when we had the money saved up ..we completely remodeled the trailer adding a tin over-roof, log siding, added 2 rooms, put in all new inside walls and flooring, new cabinets, etc... We had it all paid for as we went along. It took a lot of time and hard work. We both retired in our early 60s with everything completely debt-free. We built several storage buildings and now in our 70s we enjoy gardening, fruits, canning and fishing with peace of mind. What we learned was you never know if something works until you try first. You will always make mistakes but that's part of living. I love your videos to realize there are some hardworking young people out there. So many your generation and younger don't know how to work. Thank you for doing this. Don't ever get discouraged. Just think maybe someday a younger generation can learn from you! Keep on..keeping on. ((Hugs))

You should be very proud of what you have accomplished. I have no doubt that you will succeed, none at all. You are far more brave than me at taking on your projects, and I admire that. I agree about the negative comments-I don’t have social media just for that reason. People who aren’t happy are just jealous of those who are and they need to bring them down. Your enthusiasm and excitement on both channels is so fun, and I look forward to every video.

Donna here, a friend of mine went to therapy for stressing over what other people criticized her about. She told me that therapist said you only have control of what you say and do. It will only bother you if you let it bother you. As a rule, I don't take those kind of people seriously. I call them Negative Nellies.Just know that you are doing what you want to do, and if its not hurting anyone, then you're good.
