Hair typing is a visual hair system based on curl pattern so you can look at someone's hair and "tell them" its type____ because that's how you hair type to begin with... as long as we're civil, its fine lol. A lot of people search for hair content by using hair types so people are going to comment if they don't think it belongs there as that can be confusing, even if it can be annoying lol. Beautiful hair! Keep it up

Agreed. I’m a 3C-4A natural and it’s funny how the hair can read as several textures because of its natural static frizz. But the moment water touches it or it’s hydrated it relaxes back to its true texture/pattern. It’s definitely a unique pattern to have and it requires the right techniques and products to not be overtaken by frizz and dryness. Love my hair!

@@j.elixir6089 Na. I assure you there will hardly be a natural with perfectly defined 3c/4a curls when undefined. 3c is actually kinky. My hair is 3c/4a/4b/4c and even with gel they are all different patterns. And they all fro up when dry regardless of how loose or tight they are. The frizz and froing is about texture and porosity not curl pattern. It is probably be 3c/4a but 4b na. That would mean all curl patterns tighter than this(including naptural 85, the OG 4a)will start to claim 4c. And then notice she doesn't show her hair fully wet. It would probably look much smoother Remember Tracee Ellis Ross during girlfriends. Her pattern is really loose like 3a/3b barely a ringlet but her hair still looked kinky. Just my opinion though Edit: And KZbinrs with 3c/4a hair hardly show their dry hair because wash and gos are popularly done on soaking wet hair. This is standard behaviour for 3c/4a hair

@iamsaekomarley
@iamsaekomarley 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! & yes it grew sooo fast I'm still surprised about it. Honestly, I did both. When I first big chopped I washed 2x a week for the most part, but as my hair got longer I would push wash days to 2 months at max. I would do a wash and go, but make it last all the way til my next wash day by continuously refreshing until i could no longer then putting in a high puff for the rest of time. I can definitely say that minimal manipulation plays a BIG part in it all as long as you keep your hair clean, detangled, and moisturized.

Hi 💕 and did you use any oils? Also its important to get a good consistency of water and gel, *now i already know how much to use with my eyes closed* but at first i started by adding each in little by little until the consistency is FLUID but the gel also HOLDS. Good way to start out is by fully dampening your hair and add a little gel, if the hold is good *curl pattern distinct + no frizziness* and the texture is not sticky you’re good to go 👍🏾 Hopefully this helped! Hi, and do you know your hair porosity? Also have you ever tried wetline xtreme gel? That gel helped me ALOT with my frizzy roots as well but if you could find the one with the green top, i feel the consistency is the best. There’s a newer version with a dark blue top, but the gel is much thicker than the green version. It still works good enough, but you can always try a mini travel size just to test it out. I also try to apply products starting at the roots because if my roots are moisturized, then the entire hair strands are more likely to be less frizzy 💗💗 hope this helped

@@upendimoon3511 ok great, and check out some videos of testing hair porosity, it will give you an idea of how much moisture your hair retains. Most of my hair is low porosity so the water will literally just sit on top of my hair strands until i massage it in. Also, for the blue top wetline, start off with a smaller amount on wet/semi damp hair and that should help with the thicker consistency. I’ll be doing a video soon showing how I trained my curls using finger coiling, that really helped my hair come into form, + a deep conditioner that works for you can help retain moisture

No, not at all. The best one was definitely the wetline xtreme with the green top, it was lighter and closer to a liquid feeling, and the new ones they have been producing with the dark blue top is thicker and feels more slimy. @iamsaekomarley
@iamsaekomarley 4 жыл бұрын
Yes you are correct, this was a one product wash and go. I only used wetline xtreme gel and thats usually how I’ve styled with no issues. I always use more water than gel, and I use water + oil in between the days when refreshing. I don’t use any leave in because all products I’ve tried to add in before the gel always results in white flakes either big or small.. so my routine for wash and gos became gel only with oil to prevent a hard cast (which usually never happens because i make sure my hair is super saturated with water) and i’ve stuck to this routine. But thats what works for me, and the curl definition lasts up to a week plus, and my hair has been growing tremendously. Maybe one day I will find a good combination of products that wont produce flakes.

Hey, I hope you’re enjoying being natural so far. I consider my hair to be between 3c - 4b, i have a lot of different sections of my hair that are all different in texture and porosity. I recommend also doing a porosity test because if you’re like me, I have low porosity so moisture takes a very long time to be absorbed in my strands and that can alter your hair care process
@iamsaekomarley
@iamsaekomarley 2 жыл бұрын
As far as hair typing, I say if you find videos on youtube that show a similar hair texture to yours they can help in your hair care product selection, but its all about learning what works for you as far as products, moisture intake, and frequency of washing. Hope this helped ❤️

@@iamsaekomarley Right do you think it's possible for us as black women to grow our hair without putting braids it in ?? I definitely think its possible without extensions, my hair has grown ALOT since my mini chop video. Id you check out my ig IAMSAEKOMARLEY you can see a few vids, I recently dyed it (video coming soon) and ive just been keeping it moisturized and braiding my natural hair with no extensions for about 3 months straight and it has shown so much growth. Many times we neglect our hair because it takes a lot of time to care for it properly. So when i know i don’t have time i make sure to braid it up so that when i sleep it doesn’t cause tangles or friction rather than my hair being in a bun for 2 weeks. Ive seen major improvement, but for me being low porosity washing my hair every weekend helps keep it very moisturized and I’ve noticed a big difference. You just need to try some new things, wash and gos, braids, twist outs, it all depends on what your hair enjoys more
