Since I became a homeowner 15 years ago I have always mowed and edged my own yard. the first few years sucked and I hated the edging part because I struggled to get a straight line and it would take me way too long. Through a lot of trial and error (trust me I would develop a fight plan in my mind for how to go about it days in advance) I finally got to the point where edging is my favorite because it is so satisfying when done right. Im not at this guys level but I will hold my own and my lawn is the envy of my neighbors even though they spend more on theirs.

Ive been in lawncare since 1986 .... thats a fine job on edging and bed re defining my friend . Keep up the good work... and thats a damn big property with all that edging.

It will work with any weed eater. BUT, the problem with the lighter (non-commercial) machines, is that they lack the power and the rigid shaft, making it much more difficult to prevent twisting and catching, which will do more damage that good to your lawn. but as long as you are careful, shouldnt be an issue.
