whats your thought process while creating a music/melody

Whenever i write music, I first study the instrument and theory. But afterwards I try to let that fall and improvise. In taoist thought this is called 无为，effortless action. Its a process very difficult to explain.

@@satoriofficial na na I kinda got u... actually I play and learning to play G# flute...and I am self learning it like I just know how to play the tunes(S R G M P Dha N S) Indian sargam... but I always try to create my own melody... though I succeed but I am unable to hold it and make a whole music out of it....(Can I make sense?).....

This is called Dong Xiao 洞箫 An ancient flute from china.

I have had a similar type of connection with the Nai (pan flute). I found myself really embodying the essence of healing with sound , and connecting to an ancient energy. Ase :)
