@robertlhughes92093 жыл бұрын
Phillip Ingram, the first lead vocals is the brother of James Ingram who passed away a couple of years ago. You should hear songs like "Love Me Over And Over Again," "There'll Never Be, "I Call Your Name." Bobby DeBarge had one of the highest, purest falsetto out there, if not the highest. He appeared on four of Switch's albums before leaving to help his siblings, DeBarge to get on the Motown label.

Switch was the complete package! A band of musicians’ musicians. They were called Switch because they played so many different instruments and would switch up between songs. The lead singer and bassist are Bobby and Tommy Debarge. Bobby was an insane talent who wrote, produced, and played multiple instruments. Tommy was as solid a bassist as you could ever hope to get. The other lead singer is Philip Ingram, James’ brother. He has played with some major talent and written music for several movies and commercials. The badass drummer is Jody Sims. He’s a great singer, too. The production team were ON his snare and high hat(There’ll Never Be)! On the horns were Greg Williams (who has played with and produced BIG names) and Eddie Fluellen, who plays with different artists and teaches youth to play music. The guitarist with one of the most tasteful, poignant solos ever (There’ll Never Be)is Michael McGloiry. Switch is one of THE BEST bands of all time.Be sure you check out their other performance they did during this show called There’ll Never Be. Some SERIOUS pocket in the rhythm section.

This song and the band Switch brings out so much emotion for various reasons. From the harmony, vocal talent, sexy 🎷 the memories the song created for me and the untimely death of Bobby Debarge and his tragic life story, which shortened his career and robbed the 🌎 of what could have been. RIP Bobby Debarge. Gone but will never be forgotten 🕊️🎶🎤

The name Switch came from the members switching instruments. Don Kirshner's Rock Concert is a good scorce of 70s music of all styles. It was shot in the Aquarius Theater on Sunset Bl, Hollywood. It had a big Spiderman mural on its front wall and was directly across the street from the Hollywood Palladium and Motown Records...
