Winter is the darkest season of the year, a time of descending shadows and the chill of night. But even in the shadows, there is hope - and the Sattler College Choir sings of that hope. As part of their “Emmanuel” program - which sought to echo the hope of God with us - the choir sang “Come Unto Me”, composed by Larry Nickel and directed by Andrew Lamicela. We pray that these words can bring you hope this season!
Lyrics:
Come unto me,
If you’re weak and laden.
If you’re weak and laden,
I’ll give you rest.
I’ll give you rest.
Take my yoke - my yoke - upon you.
Take my yoke upon you,
And learn of me.
And learn of me,
For my yoke is easy,
And my burden is light.
…
Come unto me,
If you’re weak and laden.
If you’re weak and laden,
I’ll give you rest.
I’ll give you rest.
For my yoke is easy,
And my burden is light.
Come unto me.
I will give you rest.
