Great analysis and good enlightment for younger fellows,thinking about landing on moon by becoming a doctor Becoming a doctor is slowly becoming a bad idea We start late,we start with very low salaries,no promotions,tough competition

Oversupply of doctors can also reduce workload if hospitals hire more consultants and senior residents... This might mitigate the stress levels of currently stressful specialities like OBG.

Sir i am from a tier 2 city and planning to take pulmonology … but i am still not sure about the branch’s future and after listening to this ny confusion has been increased further… shall i stick to the branch or start exploring some other branch….
@drnareshchawla4233Ай бұрын
Pulmonology department are getting merged in General medicine in many medical colleges as NMC has removed respiratory medicine from ug curriculum. No new medical college has vacancy for md pulmonary medicine. Even AIIMS is not accepting md pulmonary medicine candidate as faculty. They only want DM pulmonary medicine people. Indian chest society has filed a case in high court in Nagpur regards this. Be wary of taking pulmonary branch as opportunities are getting lesser and lesser in medical colleges.NMC may phase out MD respiratory medicine in near future.
@akshaybaser5494Ай бұрын
But, MD Respiratory Medicine are Eligible for neet ss in the Subject of DM Pulmonary Medicine, DM Cardiology, DM Critical care. So, scope is there.
