It wasn’t pizza but a giant box of donuts that I drove out of my way for at like 6am to surprise a work friend of mine for her Birthday. It was a real pain, but she had been obsessed with that particular shop for months. How it works is they prepare way too many sketches for dress than they can use on the show. Then they weed out ones that the dress audience didn't like, and maybe a few more. This is one of those - really funny, but for whatever reason was cut for time. Can't explain what the rationale is there, though.

I can tell this was the work of some new writers at SNL. Unfortunately the vast majority of sketches in the last few years have just had one single joke repeated over and over again until it's no longer funny.
