@rachelrachel91523 жыл бұрын
Not to slight her, but i don't think theres a host that doesn't use cue cards at some point in a given show. They have basically three days to learn everything and it normally keeps changing up until air. When you think ppl aren't using cue cards, they normally are and the camera angles are just really good so you can't tell as easily. They're supposed to be using the cue cards there's nothing wrong with using them
@sparklemotion101ni32 жыл бұрын
@@rachelrachel9152 You're right. And the person who decided - apropos of nothing - that Anya memorized all her lines doesn't understand even a little bit how SNL works: as discussed, except for pre-filmed sketches, nothing is finalized until just before air-time so it would be a mistake to memorize anything... and anyone who ignores the cue-cards in favor of lines they memorized will end up not only missing their own cues (while waiting to hear lines that are never coming because they were changed) but they'll also fail to properly cue the other actors by using old versions of sketches. But sure, since the OP can't tell when actors read from cue cards it must mean Anya didn't use "prompts" (whatever that means) and it must mean Anya didn't use cue cards at all, ever.

@@platypusslemon9163 What I’m saying is that no gender should be treated differently because they were born like that. My is that that no one should be hit or hurt in an ideal world and I am confused as to why men should treat women as if they’re weaker or less than and that they’re fragile creatures, equal rights means equal fights. Now it doesn’t mean starting a fight with every woman just because you don’t like her, but let’s say a woman hits a guy then a man should have the right to hit back. We need to stop this notion that women are weak and fragile creatures, because they can fight to. Obviously I’m not talking about domestic abuse situations, I’m just talking about normally. And I took issue with your comment because I felt like if a woman said that to a man then you would take no issue in it like if a woman said “oh can I hit you now”, no one should hit anyone regardless of their gender, and no one should get special treatment if they start a fight Also to clarify, my main problem with your comment is the fact that you said “men shouldn’t hit women”, when it should be “people shouldn’t hit other anyone” or if you were going to say “men shouldn’t hit women” you also should’ve said “and woman shouldn’t hit men neither”

Props to Aidy and Anya! The questions they had to read kept getting darker and darker but they committed to the smiley, absent minded characters without breaking. I mean I could see the sweat on Aidy when she had to mention “marital rape” as if it was nothing.

"How has being gay and Chinese prevented you from being happy?" "How has being a woman and Indian prevented you from being happy?" "How has being a Muslim and American prevented you from being happy?" "How has being sober and Irish prevented you from being happy?" That's honestly a great and straight-to-the-point framework for uncomfortable interview questions.
@lilynash63343 жыл бұрын
The questions are objectively terrible. That is why this is comedy! First, the questions are entirely leading. Anyone who ever interviews people, knows that asking a leading question does not get you an honest answer, let alone any kind of rapport with the person you're interviewing, who usually feels manipulated, and rightly so. Second, and I think more importantly, the questions state that people's various forms of being oppressed are because of something they're doing, rather than something the culture is doing to them. It's a profoundly painful and common way to dismiss another person's painful lived experience. Even worse than being dehumanizing, the questions normalize dehumanization. No, these aren't tough questions, they're terrible questions, which assume the superiority of the two clueless people asking them. It is the pain of that interaction, laying it bare like that, which makes it funny? What on earth makes you think this is a good template for asking questions?
