​@@janjanbinks1710 Well, that was kind of the point of it. It was a riff on the old "what could've happened it the nazis or their descendants had reorganized somewhere else like Argentina". As much as people hated politics in the prequels, the new trilogy had a quite interesting political background, with a cold war included, empire nostalgics infiltrating in the senate, the revelation of Leia and Luke's parentage in order to destroy her political power, etc. It basically explains why the new republic almost had no army (fear of a repetition of what happened with the clone army combined with the manipulations of conservative empire nostalgics), the plan Palpatine had to wipe out the rebellion and the imperial remnant should he "die", etc. If Episode VII had explained a little what was the deal with the new republic and the First Order people would've liked it much instead of watching everything as "just the same as when the empire had the power"

Besides, is a completely different character. One thing has to be said though. Adam Driver had a better actor's director in Abrams and Johnson (whatever you think of their movies) than Christensen with Lucas. Lucas doesn't know how to direct actors

Now, the core issue with SNL: To be honest, the joke I said "Ok, clooner" would be infinitely more funny because it's an original spin of the "ok, boomer" internet meme that everyone knows and hates, perfect because it also mocks the terrible, really stupid storyline of these Disney trilogy movies. It would also require SNL writers to actually think about their joke for longer than 30 seconds to incorporate some creativity, which they lack. Kylo Ren just simply saying "Ok, boomer" is not funny because it doesn't ask the viewers to interpret it in anyway, very lazy.
