She breaks character on ever sketch basically and just simply isn't funny in my opinion just like when she hosted the BET awards earlier this year it was just as horrible to watch as this sketch was. We can chalk it up to the writers perhaps but even with a bad script i think a good comedian can make gold out of coal (if that makes sense) and i agree with you on Tiff, she rose to the occasion but as of right now she cant carry on her own, give her a few more years and experiences & i think she may will be able to.
