The thing I love about Fred is that he puts the right amount of sincerity & sarcasm into his characters. It's a perfect blend: not too flippant, not over the top, and never rushed/disingenuous.

7:24 That well-timed clap tho Fred sure knows how to control his comedic timing well I bet also being a drummer helps in someway I don't know if the two things are related but Fred is awesome!

+Michael Torrez Could be that the drummer was looking at his hands for the signal to start. But even if so, he knew the tempo at which to clap, which could be thanks to him being a drummer.

Underrated? He was on the show for 11 years. I don't think that would make someone "underrated". Hell, he had a lot of airtime on the show even after he left, much more than Season 39's featured players.
@AQUANAUT18
@AQUANAUT18 3 жыл бұрын
@@jessenathan9346 i agree but I also think that some people put him in the Bobby Moynihan category for that reason who I always thought was consistent but consistently just ok. But if you give Armisen the freedom to do what he wants he can spin some gold, and that wasnt always apparent in his time on SNL

I went to see him perform in Washington DC in 2011. This was after he had started filming Portlandia but before it aired. He ended up showing like 4 sketches from the first season to us. Some of the crowd was annoyed that he spent part of the show just showing us stuff, but little did any of them know that they were getting a sneak peak of what would become a massive hit show.

His Stand Up for Drummers special on Netflix is incredibly impressive.
