@@travelfoodielove I still think back to the day that I started at a large internet company, and we were supposed to have harassment training. The presentation didn't have any examples of situations built in to it, so the presenters thought it was a good idea to make up their own. That day we'd had someone leading us around the campus and showing us different aspects of the workplace, and the harassment training class was part of that. They kept coming up with examples of different possible kinds of harassment, but they would go way overboard with each example. At the end of it, after the class was done, the person who was leading us around the campus stopped to talk to us, and she said that she hadn't known what was going to be in the harassment training, but that she found it really offensive, too, like we had, and she apologized to us.

They've done things the same way for 50 years. They use cue cards and frequently change lines last minutes so some lines get screwy. This season has been mostly decent actors and former SNL alumni so everyone is just better and actually want to be there to deal with covid restrictions, not some PR joke like Elon Musk.

I had a dishwasher at my first restaurant job who used to trap me in the dish room and grab my tits. This same guy stabbed someone in the alley behind the restaurant during a fight over a craps game--on the clock, yes--so he wasn't *just* creepy but WELL known to be dangerous. I was told I was overreacting by refusing to go into the dish room when he worked. There's your daily and very real dose of "It could be worse."
