No. There was supposed to be someone with a keyboard guitar as a second joke but he or she missed their mark horribly and was late to the sketch. They improvised and went straight to the castrato part. Kenan was not supposed to be asking the question but it would be weird to have someone who wasn't introduced before doing so. Our professor mentioned that during the Renaissance period, castrati men were very popular with the ladies of the era. There was a silence in the classroom. Okay, but we need to talk about how good Ariana Grande’s acting ability is. She was on FIRE in all of these sketches. I always thought she was a fantastic choice for Glinda so I’m hoping that any of the doubters watch her hosting snl and see how wrong they are. She’s always always been great at comedy but my gosh even her comedic timing has become pheononeal and even just the subtle nuances in this like in this sketch you feel really sorry for her character and she’s not really doing a lot. Also, also that operatic vocal range? YES! Can’t wait to see her proof. Her doubters wrong.
