I said this before, but I wish Adam Driver was a permanent cast member on SNL. He is so damn funny, and I swear they use the best writers for his sketches. I'm sure his acting is also a big part of why his sketches are always funny. 😊
@sparklemotion101ni32 жыл бұрын
It's his acting, plus I'm pretty sure the writers save sketches for when they know Adam Driver is going to be hosting (just guessing - I have zero insider info right now - but it would make perfect sense to me if the writers just didn't pitch sketches that seem like Adam would be great in them when Adam Driver was scheduled to host soon... so certain sketches were "new" & waiting to be pitched when Adam was finally there. I know he hasn't hosted very often but when he's got a new movie or project to promote & they finally put Adam Driver on the schedule, he absolutely kills it every time. I don't usually spent a lot of time re-watching old sketches but I can't count how mant times I've watched Adam Driver's SNL sketches & caught myself laughing... again. It's crazy to me that he doesn't usually make movies that are comedies. He's great at comic work but instead of being funny he made "A Marriage Story" which sounded so depressing I couldn't even start watching it. Maybe next time!

Eating disorder awareness gave me an eating disorder. Yes, I had dieting and perfectionistic tendencies before, but I never would have taken it as far as I had if I weren't comparing myself to the cases we learned about in health class. I felt like my problems weren't valid unless I made them worse. If you know anything about eating disorder psychology, you know that often it is a way for people to feel like their feelings are validated when they are being emotionally neglected or abused (they are essentially gaslighted whenever they express a negative emotion and end up feeling like no one would believe their suffering is real unless there's a physical manifestation), and so when I learned about the crazy things other people were doing, my eating disorder mind thought "if I binge and purge 20-30 times a day and don't eat anything for 4 days out of every week, anyone would agree that I have problems" so I did. What we really need instead is awareness on how to treat people who are different from us with charitable thinking and effective communication skills.
