Saturn in the 11th in Aries, I have two friends, both very Saturnian. I know I need to make more of an effort to get out and make more friends yet I am tired at 50 of making an effort and then being hurt in the long run. Paying big karma patiently by giving all of me to others in my work for not much monetary results. Also as a Gemini ascendant I can get very lonely and isolated. Oh my, Lada! Why did I see this only now?! Haha. Anyway, this resonated to me well. I have Saturn in XI house and I'm a Cappy ascendant. I'm 35 yrs old and I just finished my specialty training this year (I'm a physician by profession) which has been delayed for 4 years because of repeated rejections and delays. It was a really difficult time for me. Until I got accepted 2 yrs ago and finished it this year. Lada, how does this affect Saturn's presence in the XI house since I also have Pluto in the XI house? This placement is the bane of my existence. Not a fan of it at all. The sign it's placed in doesn't help either. I definitely can identify with your assessment of this placement for the most part. My Moon sits in the 11th house with Saturn as well so some of the friendship stuff and fitting in isn't so daunting. But I definitely grow through the stages in friendships you mentioned.

I also have moon conjunct Saturn in the 11th. I didn’t have so much trouble when I was younger making friends but come to think of it I did try very hard when I was younger. Now a days I feel like a lone wolf but if attracts certain Friendships that I consider to be more “real” and very bonded friendships. I also went through trauma through friendships and had horrible friends but I think I learned how to stop putting energy into friends who didn’t give anything in return. I know this aspect will be worth it in the end.

Doesn't really relate to me, I mean i've always have kinda had enough money to get by, i'm still young, but have never experienced difficulty with getting a job, maybe I have Jupiter in the 8th house so perhaps that's why im lucky with money in a sense. In true vedic astrology saturn in the 11th is an amazing position as 11th house rules Aquarius which is ruler of Saturn, so has more beneficial aspects as opposed to bad. I personally have always had friends, I do like my own space as well, but am usually very popular within my social circle, but then I have sun in 7th and moon in 10th, mars in 5th, so they counteract the effects of that I feel. Plus remember Aquarius is a sociable sign, just doesn't make many close connections but overall really cares about people, so you'll be popular among people but just not have many close friends, which is exactly me, I know lots of people but only have a few close friends at one time. And I am fiercely loyal among my friends, but also probably due to my Scorpio venus.

I have a question about placements and time of birth. There is no way that St. Joseph's Hospital is going to tell me the time of my birth 73 years ago. They did not record it - because the birth of another poor, Irish Catholic in a big family was of no importance to anyone then. I have a birth chart on which Saturn is placed the 11th House by the astrologer. I have the impression that the outer planets move slowly so they stay in any house for months, not hours. It is a bit of a painful combo--Moon and Saturn as it makes one very aware of their weaknesses and constantly thinking of them. But again age mellows this. In the 11th one can be very sensitive to social acceptance and recognition. Emotionally it is a hard position for a woman to have Saturn Moon together, though I have met amazing women with Saturn Moon in Cancer(my sister in law-the youngest partner in law company in UK!) I mean the level of recognition in society one can get with such a position is tremendous, but emotionally often such a woman feels a bit starved for appreciation or understanding. But it can always be turned to a positive after mid 30-ties onwards
