Thanks for posting this. My favorite part of the video is putting the 4 dabs of ATV silicone on all 4 corners of the cylinder head very lightly. That’s like one of the most important parts and I like how you hold the razor blade up and down instead of sideways so it doesn’t score the cylinder head great job!

Excellent job! Well done. I just happen to be changing out the timing chain, gears, and the tensioners on my 2000 Saturn SL1. This is perfect because my cover had the RTV sealant and the gasket I bought is about the same as the one that you install in this Video. I was unfamiliar with this type. So happy that you did this video!

That hose from the middle of valve cover (8:57), what it is? After I changed the gasket that hose somehow slipped of (not from the cover, but from another side). Is it vacuum brake hose, or what it is? Should it be a clamp on that end? I put it back, but it just slided on the tube coming from the engine, no clamp on it, is that how suppose to be? My car is a bit different 2001 Saturn SL2.

Great video. I just purchased a 1998 SL2 with only 30k miles. But it just developed a coolant leak somewhere behind the pulleys. The belt is spraying the coolant but I can't see exactly where it's coming from. I'm guessing somewhere from the engine. Any advice on where to start trying to find the leak? Thanks in advance.

Lmao @ ignition wires. Jumped the gun! Haha. So my 01 sl1 likes to bang on downshifts, especially reverse; unless the rpm is above 2500, then it downshifts fine) At first I was thinking that it was a solenoid issue, but now I'm starting to think that it could ALSO be the torque converter? It does seem to hang on upshifts, as well.
