And you can almost tell that he isn't faking any reactions whilst listening to his guests.. he doesn't overreact at all and looks so engrossed in what they're telling him. This must have really helped his guests be at ease around him whilst narrating their experiences. I really wish this show had lasted longer.

It is because this is what they are taught. They are taught that Men are superior than women and that they’re doing a favour to the girl by marrying her. The problem is that this is taught to them from a very young age and it is harder to let go of things like this because it’s imbibed in them. It’s like telling someone to forget abcd when the person already knows it. The parents need to change their thinking and then things will start to change.

Warhammer 2199 maybe it isn’t mentioned because look at the number of women facing this. 30,000 only in the state of Punjab. I agree that people do need awareness on both sides but this dowry issue is faced mostly by women. It is as if 100 women and 5 men. Also, look at the severity of this to women. Women have given their lives because of this. Just because something isn’t mentioned doesn’t mean the whole thing was bad. People need more awareness on the women’s side because there are thousands of cases like this that still take place.
