Love your videos for the clean script, no background music to disrupt, the details you do and explain, etc. Only in this video, I got to know that you live in New Castle upon Tyne. Guessed Gatesahead location from your other video where you wait for your daughter who went for driving test. We lived in Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2006-2007. We lived in a rented house in Addycombe terrace (not sure if its near your place). Loved the place, the weather, public transportation. Always wanted to to back there... (atleast for retirement). Dear Sushma I have watched your videos for a while and compliments to you for such lovely soothing videos, however this one I was a bit disappointed in when you said that you tried to post pone your cycle for your pooja. This make me sad as I dint expect this from you, I was lucky to grow up around open religious beliefs and my Grand and mum both always said that periods is a part of women hood and God made us and everything about us. God won't have minded you or any women in any shape form or condition. I feel God is an extension of us as much as we are an extension of God. Hope you can see my point. Dear Perio Surgeon. It's not bad thing to have periods ..... and never consider it is bad to do Pooja with periods...But we avoid to do pooja during periods or during festive seasons for few reasons. 1. People like me who have bad period experience cannot carry such long time pooja 2. Pooja or any festival should be celebrated with calmness. 3. Once I have periods usually I become cranky and cringy and nobody prefers to have pooja time spoiled because pooja is performed for wellness and happy environment. If one person acts cringy then everything's goes bad in and around 3. There will be lots of work involved in such pooja and lots of people around where women at that cannot even easily go and rest for sometime To avoid periods during such pooja time is not back ward thinking, it's only to facilitate women to be at ease.Buy saying all these... sometimes when we go long time travelling we cannot avoid places bcoz of periods and we too pray god as usual. But during the time people made a tradition and rule on women which we have eradicated with small protest and fights in home. If still women can do pooja and can be one of those super women they can definently. I know I will be fire backed with my words above. But I dont mind

Those reasons you mentioned are very valid and I hope more people think like you. Thanks for sharing

Hello Sushma madam, I am keval Patel from Gujarat India. Being a gujarati i am a big foodie and from my childhood have a great delight towards South indian recipes as well. I have been watching many of your videos and i love the fact that they are vegetarian recipes and the best thing is that despite of making so many recipes in one video you explain it so much ease, finess and perfection that it feels it is very easy. And i would also like to add the fact that your most recipes are purely traditional recipes of indian heritage with a healthy twist that are less time consuming. Lastly you manage your kitchen and its inventories with all the techno savy instruments and machines very very very nicely. Please keep posting good recipes.... Language is only human being communication....what is superstitious to you it is prayer for us. If you are not aware of the pooja or prayer then before commenting it's better to look meaning behind the same. Can you proof the existence of God you pray. When you can do we will definitely help you understand the existence of Form of god we pray. If you are not ok someones way of praying that never means it's wrong Next time be kind and sensible with your words and also some respect with others beliefs. Narayan means the one that abides in everything and everybody. Therefore, this puja, or the worship of Satyanarayan, a form of the Lord Vishnu, suggests that to overcome problems and difficulties in life caused either due to deeds of previous birth or similar factors can be overcome by worshipping the lord of Truth. God is a power which one should feel...have you ever attended any kind of prayers whichever religion it may be..If not how can feel his essence and his presence....Sathyanaraya is form lord Vishnu. Pray and see once may be u too can feel his existence... You asked why not Kannada? I am asking why not English. What's wrong in that...Its her channel , she resides in UK. She respects the language and then why not...
