Sauce Money spoke to VladTV about being stuck at a label deal at Priority Records and not being able to release any music, so he paid his bills by writing for Diddy. He also spoke about ghostwriting for other artists that he wouldn't name and adding that he was paid $85,000 for one song. I don't know how anyone can consider Puffy a genius. He's a very good business man but all he really did was pimp out urban street culture to corporate entities that recognized it as an emerging market and where the youth were trending towards. Diddy is definitely a genius with music. But he’s not a genius in the sense of creation. He knows what works and what doesn’t. He has an ear. He’s not gonna be the guy to get on a sequencer or instrument but he can listen to a record and tell you what it’s missing or what it needs, even down to specific sounds. Even on a song as simple as “Roc Boys,” he came in and told them not to rely on the horns in the sample, but instead to add real horns. That turned it into a completely different song. Just like DJ Khaled (whole music I hate) is a genius in the sense that he knows how to put the right people with the right music.
