In this clip, Cassidy discussed being a ghostwriter and working with several artists whom he declined to reveal. He explained why he doesn’t believe rappers who use ghostwriters can be considered one of the greatest rappers, taking Drake as a prime example. Cassidy also outlined why it’s difficult to compare artists across eras the same way it is to compare athletes across eras in sport.

Having a ghostwriter on a couple or few songs out of 100s of songs shouldn’t discredit a rapper’s greatness. Jackie chan is the greatest stunt man actor, but we wouldnt stop calling him the goat just bc he had someone else do his stunts a couple times. He still did the majority of his stunts. And I believe Drake wrote the majority of his hits. Ppl also forget what rapping actually is. If you give 10 artists a Dr. seuss book and asked them to “rap” it.
