I was a Chance fan before he was in Home Free. This local boy was featured on our local news here in LA (lower Alabama) when he was with Street Corner Symphony and competed on the SingOff. You will have to see Chance with his friends The Hound and The Fox. They form a trio, usually with acoustic guitars. He works with them similarly to how Tim Foust and Peter Hollens work together.

Tim said that the Street Corner Symphony had asked him to join them for The Sing Off, he said no and thankfully he did because Chance may have never joined HF. Tim explains it so much better lol

Tim gets all the credit for being the amazing bass for Home Free, and he is. However, Chance doesn't get anywhere near enough credit for being the guy who holds down the bass in a good number of Home Free songs. He may not hit the lowest notes, he may not be as "in your face" a bass as Tim, but he's doing yeoman's work. So, shout-out to the everyman, working away in the background! I think the reason it takes people a while to hear how special Chance's voice is, is because it takes a bit of time to learn all of the content. But, WOW! Since he's settled in and he and Tim started trading off parts more, he's caught fire! The versatility of these guys lets them all shine their brightest at any given time! One of the things I like the most about Tim's deep base is that he doesn't push it at the expense of the music. I do feel sometimes that the deep base singers throw low notes in where it doesn't quite feel right in the music, which throws me off. Tim rarely does that. Nothing too flashy. Just 'there' to support the song. Beautifully done.

Chance's voice is what I call whiskey smooth. That is actually Chance doing the bass line in most of this song. Most want to call him a baritone since he took over Chris's place in the band but he is actually a true bass. He was with a group called Street Corner Symphony that performed on the 2nd season of the Sing Off and came in 2nd.

Funny story about Adam's beatboxing. Had watched them nightly online for a couple years or so before we got to go to a live show. I watched The Sing Off, watched all the live shows people posted, etc. So I KNEW no instruments. The first show we went to they started singing in the dark and my husband said, I thought they didn't use instruments. I literally sat there so puzzled saying I know, I'm not sure what's going on (because it sounded like he always does, like instruments!). Then the lights came on and we saw them on the stage and doing it all like always with voices only! So even after following them and watching everything the put out you can still go to their concert and be shocked there are no instruments! lol! Take care and keep them coming! We're with you on the journey.

The other bass in HF is Chance (Adam Chance, but we just call him Chance to save confusion since the beatboxer's name is Adam, too). He sings in a beautiful, smooth baritone-bass range and takes over the bass line for Tim whenever Tim has a lead vocal or is singing up in a higher range (Tim sings 5+ octaves). Chance is the cutie with a shorter beard and baseball cap. He's leaning on the back part of the car. ❤
