I would recommend their rendition of "My mother told me". Alea, the leadsinger, learned islandic for this. Most of their songs are in german, as they are a german medieval rock band. And they were around 15 years ago.

Welcome to German medieval rock / metal. The first time I actually heard them was their version of EC's Hypa Hypa (which is my favourite of the covers), then I discovered Feuerschwanz and *then* I found out members of Feuerschwanz and Saltatio Mortis have featured on several occasions back and forth.

This song is from the legendary video game Elder scrolls: Skyrim. The band's singer Alea and a couple of the guys were at the 10 year anniversary convention by Bethesda (the creators) and they met Lara Loft and together did an acoustic version of this song together for the crowd. They decided later to do a full blown version. Saltatio Mortis is an awesome German mediaeval folk metal band from Germany and Lara Loft (real name Lara Trautman) is a German youtube star, musician/singer. Check out 'My mother told me' for some Viking awesomeness with a video inspired by the great video game Assassin's Creed Valhalla. They also did an awesome cover/collab of the Eskimo Callboy (now Electric callboy) song Hypa hypa. Also check out Feuerschwanz, another German mediaeval folk metal band, they're brilliant.

I love bagpipes. You definitely need to check out a band called Saor Patrol. They are all about the bagpipes, lol. Saw them years ago at Dollywood. They were great.
