At first, Adam was hesitant to use the looper, because they feared fans would think they were "cheating" and not totally A Capella.... so he came up with the idea of creating the loop live...so the audience would know and understand. They have used it ever since, and it only makes their shows that much better!

I believe Adam won a world beatboxing championship twice. He really is another level. When the group is singing together you forget there are no instruments because of how good he is.

Once again, I consider Adam to be a vocal percussionist....not that he can't do "beatboxing" style things as well...but he really shines with his drum beats/accuracy/realism. "Drumming with Jarvis" is another reactor I enjoy that is a professional drummer, and he has stated many times that the reason he loves Adam is that he does what a drummer would do...and any drummer should be able to play along with him.

Really happy you watched the newest version of Adam's solo. @wbish3 is a great person too. She found out I was attending my first Home Free show in October, and went out of her way to meet me and my date before the show, she found us at intermission to see how we were enjoying it, and met us after the show to catch up again before we left. Really made us feel like part of the Home Fries family! And buddy, let me tell you, hearing them live is a whole 'nother level of an experience. Tim's bass literally rattles your chest, and in Adam's solo, when he does the animal sounds, the sound mixer pans the noises around the arena to the point you're convinced the bugs and birds are flying all around you. Just amazing stuff. Home Free is incredible, but seeing them live is an EXPERIENCE! Thanks for another great reaction, it's nice to see someone who understands how difficut what Adam does really is.

The A Capella Music Awards named Home Free as Entertainers of the Year in 2018 and 2019. There were no live performances in 2020 so the event was cancelled. Tim won best composer in 2019 too.

Yeah, Adam blows me away every single time I see them live. I live in Spain, in Europe, so I don't have the opportunity to see them as often as W does (I won't tell you her name as it's up to her to let you know), but I still have 18 under my belt so far (in 8 different countries, because I love traveling all over Europe to see them). Yes, Adam is "tighter" than most drummers are. It always amazes me that he keeps a beat, or two, with his mouth and his body still moves to flow of the music. He seems to be breathing it. I can't wait to see this act live. Btw, there are rumours going around that he's a two time world champion, which isn't true, but it doesn't mean he couldn't be if he decided to pursue that road. I just don't think it's in his ego, he's just don't something he loves All these guys are evolving constantly, which is a huge part of their greatness. Life is full of plateaus, most people get stuck on them, but I think we're only meant to stop, take a breath, enjoy the view from where were standing to see how far we've come, and then we move into our hearts full of gratitude and the plateau will be in the past. But it won't be in the past if we keep looking at it, it will stay active on our present. It's like that with everything, isn't it?! Great reaction! Thank you! Thank you for your awesome reactions! This is why the other members of HF say that Adam is Freak of Nature and the heartbeat of Home Free! The Rupp family is my favorite singing family for sure. A looper is used to layer sounds. Adam’s phenomenal arrangement of Do You Hear What I Hear is my favorite cover of all time! I love how him and my other favorite tenor, his brother Chris sing on that track.

Great reaction and new subscriber. Adam is an incredible vocal percussionist, but you also have to appreciate his incredible vocal range as well. He can go as high as Austin, and almost as low as Tim in terms of his range. I love this new solo, because using the looper allows fans to actually hear his beautiful vocal tone. When Home Free does the 5 part harmony songs, like Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, My Country Tis of Thee, and Brothers In Arms, sometimes you miss him amongst the others, but he does have a lovely voice. Truly super talented.

I saw HF in July. Adam was still doing his solo more like the old one at that point. No looping. No singing. He has developed this new solo in the past 3 months. Reactor from my town was given a ticket to the 11/2 show by Adam, and after the show, Adam messaged him and asked if he would like to meet to have a drink. The reactor said Adam is a genuinely down-to-earth nice guy.

Adam using the looper during his drum solo is new. Only a handful of concerts so far. Saw HF in Columbus Ohio 10/15 and he did not use it there. The jacket he puts on when he walks to the front of the bar is loaded with mirrors on his shoulders, synchronized with the lights it’s amazing.

I can't tell you how many times I've heard people say that they really needed HF in their lives even though they never knew it, it's just something that we all feel. The lift us up time after time and we love them. I'd love it if you'd also try Avi Kaplan's solo stuff (he was the second base in Ring of Fire), he gives me the same sort of feeling that HF does, that his music is there for me. Try Change on the Rise or his newest The First Place I Go.

As you said Adam has been beatboxing for 21 years but he is a hard worker and continually develops different vocal percussion sounds. It seems like every video has new sounds…like the castanets in Sea Shanty Medley or the cards in The Gambler or the.guns in Folsom Prison Blues not to mention all the new electronic sounds he comes up with. I’m in awe of Adam when I see them live.

There is a video of them showing how the looping helps their songs. Like in Man of Constant Sorrow. The guys sing a few bars of the background sounds then looped. And Adam doing a few sounds. Then they start singing the whole song.

It's crazy to me that he's so good at this and also has such a lovely singing voice, too. He often sings in harmony with the others but only rarely does he sing alone. Just a few words here and there maybe on three songs? Anyway he can basically do anything apparently.

He is called "Freak of nature"!!! Dimash Qudaibergen is an alien!!! For some extra thing for him would be fun hear him sounding like a dombra or Kobys!!! And then take Home Free and Dimash in a song and see what happens! They both have saved my life..I have some real problems with my health seens I was abbout 8 years old. Know goes with a walker and have so mutch pain and outher problems to. I was in verry deep depression when I heard Home Free for the first time and that saved my life. I could find some strength from both Home Free and also al the Home Fries and I'm so thankfull. I could see them when them vere here in Aweden and it was so mutch fun!! We sang so mutch that they stoped singing some times and just stod there and looked at us and eatchouther. Dimash I found last year when I got so sick from a problem in my leg that I endend up in hospitol for 3 weeks. My blodwork was so high that I shouldent be alive!!! I just hade found Dimash and the onley thing I heard for atleast 3 dayes was Dimash voice and his songs! His fans the "Dears" have also been verry good for me! It seams like the both artists ad there fans are a bit the same way and I love it. So know I am a "home fried dear"!!! I love youre reactions and gonna look you upp some moore. Wbish3 was at the Home Free concert I attended last month. I was totally amazed when she told me it was her 4th concert in a row - just that month! This is not the concert I attended but Adam did one of his "drum solos" at that concert also. He is so amazing! The HF guys usually hang out in the chat prior to video premieres on KZbin. During one of those chats, someone asked Adam how long it took him to learn to beat box. His reply was, "I'm still learning." BTW, during the Q&A session prior to the concert I attended, I asked what musical instruments the guys play. Adam said his instrument in college was the trumpet and he played bass guitar for years prior to that. He has also taught himself to play drums....and guitar....and piano. (There may have been others, but that's what I remember.)

I agree April, I think Adam is and will always be the best Beat Bower on the planet, most use looping during their machines to enhance their shows and Adam doesn't. Pentatonix says their a acapella group, but I was thought the at Apicella groups didn't use musical instruments when they preformed, the do use instruments in some of their videos. Out of all Home Free videos they have never use anything except their mouths. Personally I believe the are the best on the planet too!!!!
