The shift definitely takes time to bed in. I was shocked at the firmness on the first run especially after wearing the Novablast previously, but now its really softening and becoming very responsive and bouncy. Fit for my wide feet is brilliant and the added stability is a bonus for me.
@joellen59844 жыл бұрын
Same experience for me. Originally I was not too impressed. It has indeed gotten better - the fit is excellent for wider feet and I like the TPU heel collar for that stability. In contrast the Clifton 7 (tried on only in store) was incredibly narrow and I sunk in too much. I prefer the Shift.

Hey Seth! Great video 🤩 But Ive been noticing that you are skipping your summary from the run more and more often. Im not sure why, but I really enjoyed watching what you run, bc I like your training philosophy and would love to see more from the training-side again. But understand you have a lot of running-shoes to showcase atm 😂 but just a "10 miles 7.45 a mile today" would be enough for me. Keep up the great work. Been with this channel since 12k subs and man, what a journey! Cheers from Oslo 🥰🥰

Hey Seth, one thing I love about Saucony is the extra support(like the heel counter) they give the runner in some of their shoes. Some of us aren’t as experienced and appreciate that little extra help more than being slightly lighter weight.

QD: With temperatures now in the upper 30s pretty much all day long (39°C today), even my easy runs are quite taxing on the body. When it's that hot my avg. HR is about 15-20 bpm higher at my easy pace than usual, which makes it quite hard to gauge effort and not overdo it on easy days.

Running in South Africa...always a beautiful run. We have taxis that we contend with for the road. Think they aim for us when we run. Got clipped by one. Always good fun!
@ricodelavega45114 жыл бұрын
sometimes its the runner being daring as well. I admit on good runs, many times I wont stop my run at an intersection and try really hard to run right through it, even dodging cars. Some of us become madmen when running. I watch this running y-tube from tijuana where they mostly film runs along the side of a highway. It will make you wince seeing fast cars whizz by.

Nice and comprehensive review. I will be back on track after a long looong time hiatus from training for marathon. I need a pair of shoes that safe and light for my starter and Saucony Endorphin Shift caught on my eye at the first place. It looks so soft built quality and springy, and obviously: suitable for tropical weather here, in Indonesia. Thank you 🙂

We’ve been having a terrible summer for weather so far, tons of rain and storms and temps barely above 20 C, and now this week we’re at 30C! It’s luckily an easy week in my plan, just an easy recovery run today which is all I can manage in this heat.

This is a great review Seth. You describe the characteristics of the shoe well and the type of runner it could appeal to. I have the shift and enjoy the firmer cushioning though it is still soft but not 'mushy' underfoot. The rocker tech works well also. I ran in the Shift and I thought it was a great pair despite the high stack. That did not bother me. But as a recovery shoe, it was a bit too heavy. I loved the fit, the cushion (not too mushy) and the firmness it provided under forefoot and mid-foot. I really wanted to like this pair but the weight was too heavy. I wear size 10 and wished it weighed around 9.5 oz. That would have made this pair a great buy for me.
