No joke.. I like the deep dive he gives on every shoe he runs in. You don’t get this type of content from anyone else and depth.
@fecardona5 ай бұрын
Same here. Yowana’s approach: - Hands on - Getting more inventory to compare - More interested in the content than the production. Really does deep-dive - Sounds unbiased - Is like a podcast or conversation - Is more academic, you can tell he has a methodical structure to the discourse, incorporating all the variables. Example: he runs miles and miles every week and proves he tests the shoes to death - More close resembles a “Run Testers” approach Dare I say something like the “thinking everyman’s/everyperson’s” reviewer Ah! Before I forget, among the few if not the only one who finished 6th in a marathon recently, walks his talk about high mileage yields best results.

demoor's shoe reviews contradict all the time. one review he says i would like this to have more outsole for durability and i don't mind a bit more weight. next one he says i would put less outsole to make it lighter. i like yowana and whatmatterstomatt because they bring the shoes to hundreds of miles. not some who says shoes are good after 10mi then the following year when new model comes, say they didn't really get along with it but the new model is better

Regarding the podcast question: - Your video format is already like a podcast. Many of us already use your videos to listen while running -because of the long format- - Would tweak little details like “referring to what you’re holding in your hand, looking at or talking about “ in verbal…so we can visualize while listening. - Agree your bandwidth is full already. So not efficient to cram something else, just build from the already existing long-type format. - Charlie would be pissed if you add something else to the mix. Gotta keep the family balance. - Am already paying for KZbin Premium so I can listen w/o watching, therefore wouldn’t be paying for the podcast model.

The Saucony Ride 2 TR is available now. Seems to be essentially a Ride 17 TR. That should have better traction due to deeper lugs. It also has lace eyelets instead of loops which should improve durability and lock down. Its also a GREAT looking shoe! Price? £135

Love my ride 17s not too mushy as a heavier runner wanting to pick it up just hair and not to hard on the joints. Rebels may be the next pick up on the next go round. Thanks for the great reviews i love full feature films 😂

I have almost 300 miles in the Ride 17. I'm 5'5" and 122 lbs and feel the midsole gives more back with heavier runners. I feel the most from it when I put more into the midsole, like going downhill. I have a narrow foot and do not like the lacing loops and cannot get a good lockdown. The tongue on the left shoe always slides over and down into the shoe on the lateral side. The midsole feels firm and is best for moderate paces for me. The upper feels a bit too wide for me. I think durability is high overall for the shoe. Note: I am about to hit 600 miles on Triumph 20 and prefer them over the Ride 17

I have that exact Pegasus and I think it literally is right up there with the absolute worst feeling/performing running shoe I have owned in the last 10 yrs. I turned them into "yard shoes" after about 5 runs and I can't even stand to wear them in the yard. The Saucony R17 is really interesting me after your review. I have the Endorphin Speed 3 as well and I have really enjoyed that shoe with the carbon plate. It feels very similar to my Vaporfly 3 - which I really love.

If you're looking for that bounce like the speed 3, the ride 17 will probably be a bit firm for you. The closest shoe I've tried to that speed 3 bounce feel is the hoka Mach 6

These are the kinds shoes that have led me to much better everyday shoes..too heavy,too hot,too hard,not comfortable..I switched to shoes like Topo spector, rebels, NB elite V3..lighter,more breathable, comfortable..the Topo spector is my favorite unknown shoe..I would ,and do,rather use it more than almost any of the " better" shoes on the market including most of the super shoes..I have 2 pairs that have a lot of mileage on them and the durability is great..I have never seen a podcast that I could watch for more than a couple of minutes..it always tickles me how some guys can't focus on your video for more than 5min..fortunately you-tube is chock full of manufacturers ads for short attention spans..another great video tho I have no interest in bricks masquerading as running shoes..😂😂😂

I'd be curious to see a comparison with the Craft Pacer. On paper, they seem really similar, except for the weight. Also, Seth James DeMoor was doing some type of crowdsourcing for durability on his website. I'm not sure exactly how but it could be an additional way to attract more traffic to your website.

I tried both the ride 17 and triumph in the store back to back. I personally found the triumph better than the ride. The ride just felt a little firmer than what I wanted in a shoe. Even though the foam was the same it felt softer and more responsive in the triumph, got them, and I just keep wanting to reach for them every time.

@supwell5 ай бұрын
If you want something for relaxed running I'd go with the brooks ghost max or new balance 1080v13. Both are easy to run in and protective - ghost max has more of a smooth rolling feel while the 1080 is super soft. If you're thinking more of something cushioned and protective but faster feeling for races, I'd go with the Saucony endorphin pro 4. It's bouncy and fun but also decently stable and enjoyable at any pace. So if you wanted a cushioned long run shoe that you could race in I'd go for this one

Yowana what about sizing? True to size or go up 1/2? You mention some toe box rub I believe. What’s the verdict?
@supwell3 ай бұрын
It fits true to size but after some more testing in this shoe I do not recommend it. The foam feels flat and lifeless compared to a lot of other shoes at that $140 price point. The best alternative I've found is the new balance 860v14 - similar amount of cushion, rubber coverage for durability and great support but with a more fun and versatile ride. If you want something bouncy and fun at $140 I'd suggest Hoka Mach 6. And if you want something for long runs / relaxed miles then the Novablast 4. All those are much better choices at $140
