I’ve never understood the obsession with Saudi-Israel “normalization”. Conflict solved I guess? I mean sure, they’re not in conflict at all, they’re quite cooperative; Palestinians have never been more than a bargaining chip for Gulf Monarchies, but hey, what a breakthrough for world peace! Turns out a country in conflict with its neighbors can just make a deal with some friendly regional country and boom, peace prevails. It’s amazing, the actual parties to the conflict don’t even have to be involved. Maybe next Ukraine can make a deal with Türkiye, or how about Romania, surely that would end the war with Russia.
