Here in Australia, all the money is publicly scrutinised and has to be provided largely by the tax payer. No money can be pushed under the table to bribe FIFA officials. Honestly, and I'm saying this from a purely organisational standpoint, we could pull off a killer World Cup. We've got the big stadiums that already can be converted for soccer matches - the infastructure around it is all there. We had the Women's World Cup last year and it was a smash, even non-soccer fans turned up in droves! We loved it! The only thing you'd need to do is maybe expand a few stadiums in the regional cities like Canberra - which we've been wanting to do anyway for our domestic sports. I look at all this and just shake my head.

The important thing is that we still have time to prevent this from happening. World Cup 2034: Just do it in Germany or something.

4:04 The mad spirit of experimental architecture is to be applauded especially as it's withering on the vine in the current cost conscious climate. As just mentioned, how close will these imagined befores be to their actual afters? Can you foresee a situation where FIFA permits all those distracting screens to be on during world cup matches? Can you imagine the added pressure on the players to beat the competition? Not from the other team but from the screens. Finally, can you imagine that if FIFA allows them to be functioning during a game, can you imagine them allowing anything other than the live feed or replays on them? I dunno, something like adverts to be shown too..‽ Of course they will!!!

It all seems unrealistic until built, but the one on top of The Line is pushing it. The one I like is the traditional looking one in Jeddah.

It's not the stadium that's the highest, it's the people coming up with these concepts.😆

Set the team out the wrong way round. Keeper should be at the bottom of the screen. Perhaps a subtle dig at FIFA and Saudia or maybe just a mistake.
