I went to Saudi Arabia last year on vacation, in the SW corner, and can say without hesitation that I felt extremely safe (apart from the terrible standard of driving!) and met nothing but kindness and hospitality. I had innumerable invitations to have tea or coffee with picnicking families, and to come to people's houses for a meal. People routinely stopped to ask if I needed help when I was walking in the mountains. Although there are a lot of police cars on the roads, I never saw them hassling anybody. It's a fascinating country with a lot to see, and I wouldn't hesitate to return.

The fact that he went for normalization with Iran thanks to Chinese mediation as well his large deals with China and getting into the BRICS shows a level of independence from American hegemonic empire! I admire that he’s his own man with an independent decision making! It makes the whole region safer as the US is behind most of the conflicts across the world as US government works in a binary diplomatic ideology of labeling people either friends or enemies and nothing in between! Friends are practically vassals of the empire and enemies are the ones who are sovereign and independent! So, Saudis are quickly becoming a US enemy by not being a complete vassal!!

P.MBS is widely loved and admired by lots of young people like myself and ofc a fair number of elders and people of the older generation aren't on board with everything yet they will come to appreciate it in time. Sometimes it takes a man who is willing to go against the wind for real and positive change to happen. I can also assure you , having met ,studied as well as friended lots of foreign guests in Saudi Arabia, that it is not only safe! but amazingly welcoming. As people who but recently opened up to the wider world , we're naturally curious and thus largely excited to welcome , share and meet strangers and foreigners that come to know, learn or perhaps just enjoy their time here in KSA. Even older people can't contain their inner curious child once they interact with people who they never met before. Though I'm an irregular viewer of your show , I've watched enough discussions , debates and videos to come to value your takes. You tend to ask the right questions more than give absolute answers and i love that about you. Hopefully we get to see you visit one day, perhaps give a lecture about entrepreneurship , no matter the topic I would be down to attend

Autonomy and ultra luxury are the main emphasis. It certainly is ambitious, there are fairly large concerns of HR violations that do warrant attention I should add however. So maybe if he eased up on the internal strong arm claims it would also help. 💯

Are you joking? Tell me you're not really this naive. The fact they lied multiple times proves they got caught. First they said he left safely. Then surveillance videos were released showing that wasn't true. Then they said he died after a fight inside. But no ambulance or police were called. Absolutely! As an Israeli i believe mbs can absolutely be the key to lifting the region. As an Israeli, i have totally given up hope of removing bibi, nothing short of him retiring will work. The sad irony is that the current war which froze the saudi Israel deal , would've been the thing to make bibi finally give concessions to the Palestinians, which wouldve prevented the war. But mbs could still make lemonade of this mess. Should he stabilize gaza after the war , conditioning it on concessions to Palestinians, and return to the deal conditioned on a political solution as the 2 state solution, he would have the absolute biggest geo political ever: 1) he'd earn immense favor from the arab street as the liberator of Palestinians. 2) pull the rug out of iran and her proxies reasons for aggression against Israel as the conflict would end. 3) earn immense support from the wesr for the above reasons. 4) be able to justify a security coalition to squash religious extremism in the region with west axis middle eastern countries. 5) all of these would turbo boost his 2030 plan. I'd love to get input from any saudis here if I missed some spots or if I got anything wrong? How feasible would this be?

How can you compare the safety of Saudi Arabia to any major European city? I understand some surrounding nations areas are volatile but you don't have to fly in through those areas. I'm not understanding the safety issue. In the US we have cartel wars just south of our border. It doesn't make me feel like my state isn't safe. Saudi Arabia saw what UE did and they want some of that for them too. The big difference to me is that UE has been on this path for decades before they were able to have any meaningful results. Saudi Arabia wants to take a short-cut to that and that's fine...but to have a huge influx of tourists (middle Class and Upper Class), rich residends and multiple businesses....that takes a long time on this path...It doesn't matter how good your reforms are, but for how long they have been planted and working. And of course, there is the giant challenge that Saudi Arabia is the home of the most secret muslim site in the world. It is normal to host the most religious conservative people of the Planet...but How well that will go when you place these people together with american, asian and european tourists on the airports, streets and hotels?
