First off the guy was totally handsome and looked better than Simon and he had a beautiful voice. I think he would probably do better I a Broadway musical, but he stil at least deserved the golden ticket and then the audience could have voted on if he should stay or not. as a musician, I can guarantee you, besides his girly voice, he sang every single tone correctly! A tone deaf singer wouldn't sing any single tone so correctly. The only problem here is his girly voice. But as I said before, he would fit into a power metal band. The most Power metal singers have almost the same voice! Just search for Angra - Temple of Shadows and you will hear it!

Paula is high, like out of her mind high to the point she can barely formulate a sentence. With that said, Simon was complaining that she was wasting time, but had he stopped interrupting her every 2 seconds and just let her finish her thought they would have wasted a whole lot less time. Plus I've heard Simon say many times to contestants, "you came here to be judged..... we're trying to give you constructive criticism." But when Paula tries to do that he flips his lid. Honestly, each judge is SUPPOSED to give feedback. That's how the show works. I wish Paula would have just said, "Simon, I'm judging him because I'm a judge so shut up and let me do my job. Mr Contestant, you don't have a bad voice. I can tell that your voice has potential, it's just sounds so much like a female voice that I don't think America would vote for you and I don't think you're ready for a competition like this. If this is freshly what you want to do, I would recommend taking some vocal lessons, learning how to train your voice to have a better, more masculine tone, and come back another year." I just think the judges get so bored and tired of the idiots coming through (and sick of each other too, Simon is sick of Paula being drunk and high all the damn time and Paula is sick of Simon being an ass hole all the time) that they don't always give feedback to the ones who probably deserve it. I've seen them give tons of feedback to people who are clearly delusional or just there for a laugh and then people who actually have a decent voice, a good attitude and have probably practiced and taken work off to be there, etc, are insulted and not given any critique whatsoever.

This is a very unique voice, everyone probably wants to listen to ordinary type of voices, that usually goes through these competitions (well, except of high-ranged Adam Lambert, who you guys, surprisingly, don't mind). Well the good things I can say is I agree his range is good (if a bit on the high side of tenor low side of contralto, tone okay for musicals, but I cannot get past the off pitch part. I am a working back-up singer for a very demanding singer. I'm no great shakes as singer but I'd rather listen to my blah texture of voice ON pitch than his good texture OFF pitch.
