@@Thenobelfan He is using incorrect benchmarks and has been for quite long now. If he were to use correct benchmarks, the underperformance of his funds would be more pronounced. He has benchmarked his small and midcap funds against BSE 500 instead of the respective indices. Also, no need to give credit for something that is a regulatory compulsion.

Except for venture capitalists, Stock market is such a waste..stock market is primarily for sharing risks and losses.. When venture capitalists take an exit by issuing an IPO, they book their profit, but share traders dream big and lose everything, First one should understood who is investing in share market, that the windfall profit is already gone with VC's, and the risk is high on each share.. Better they could build a private limited company and do some productive business, which will generate more CAGR, Will Reliance Retail will issue an IPO never, because their CAGR is more than 25 to 35 % why should ambani share his fortune?? But the business which involves risk capitailsts will share to public via share market.. so better build your own company and invest in yourself and earn more a CAGR of more than 20%, than investing in some other guys who are there to share their risks and loses.. Otherwise play safer by buying gold or real estate or by doing a fixed deposit.

Marcellus Compact AIF CAGR 9% from 2021, whereas Nifty is at 16%. Most funds are at 35% CAGR for this period. Instead of getting 3.5 Cr for a 1 cr investment, customers are not even getting 1.5 Cr. Imagine losing 2 Crores, in 4 years. Customers are bleeding.
