The progress is just unprecedented. With congenial leadership at State & Centre-this project will surely get commissioned to at least its partial length, from Sabarmati in Ahmedabad till Surat by 2028. Its also important to work on depot, for the facilities needed would be much different than other rail & metro depots.

Over here at Amsterdam, for the Eurostar e320 high-speed 16-coach trains .. they need 400m+ of platform length. I'm curious how long the MAHSR trains + platforms will finally be. Also, a suggestion : you kept referring to that German company as "Heron Connect". But my German boyfriend (who is learning Hindi for me, btw! 😊) confirms that the correct way to pronounce that name would be as : "हेरनक्नेश्त" (note the half-Ka + Ne sound .. as well as the half Sh + Te sound).

The worst argument against bullet train is can Indians afford it LMAO a few months back kelve road station had speed restrictions on down line and both morning Vande bharat and shatabdi were slow and I used too see they were 98% full And even the evening VB is full So the mumbai Ahmedabad people can easily afford bullet train

Mumbai Ahmedabad route is perfect one to launch any of the Pilot project. Not just VBs, but Tejas, Shatabdi, Double Decker and other trains also go full. 1st route decides the future of the projects. The 1st metro of Mumbai was Superhit, now we see how Mumbai metro is growing. 1st Monorail was flop, and no more came. So first Bullet was needed to be on a Superhit route indeed.

Yes, aware about the shipment from China. But we can hope for faster clearance since Herrenknecht themselves are getting ready at sites here. And Herrenknecht have worked in India for many projects, so those shipment challenges were always been overcome by them. Will update on this on Twitter whenever authorised information is received.

Thane station will be connected with Virar Alibaug Multimodal Corridor via a dedicated connecting arm. Regarding a Railway Station between Diva and Kopar, Central Railways hasn't spoken anything about it officially yet.

Even with this rapid pace it’s highly unlikely to catch up with Gujarat’s progress. So I assume Gujarat side will be operational first (hopefully by 2027). Also, is there any official confirmation that we will still get E5 Shinkansen for this project? The rumor mill doesn’t instill confidence for that.

Station might get ready by 2027 or so, but the 21km tunnel ahead will be taking a but more time. Yes Gujarat part will be operational first since it's completely elevated. Maharashtra also has 7 mountain tunnels apart from the 21km underground tunnel, so it is going to take a bit long inspite of the speed. Regarding the Shinkansen rakes, its still official that MAHSR will be going to sport E5 Series Shinkansen. No one from NHSRCL or Rail Ministry has said that the BEML rakes are to be replaced with. Its the Sensationalism of news media that has mix the 2 news to make it look masaledaar. 1 news is Shinkansen are getting delayed due to unavailability of manufacturing units, another news is India is progressing its high speed technology by developing 2 prototype rakes in house at BEML, which, will be tested on MAHSR since it's the only suitable infra in India for it. So relax, for MAHSR, it will be Shinkansens😌🔥

Regarding Aqua line connection, NHSRCL as well as MMRC will be working together for an underground subway with travelators between this HSR Terminus and Aqua's BKC Metro station. Same in included in Miniature model of the HSR Station, and was stated by Resp. Ashwini Bhide ma'am at an Infra conclave in Mumbai.
