In Australia bacon is very common add on to the sausage and egg McMuffin. That said, sausage and egg is still the most popular and the ‘default”. Bacon is always an add on. That also said, outside of McDonald’s, bacon is certainly more popular than sausage as a breakfast food overall.

This is tough cause my 2 favorite McDonald’s breakfast items are the sausage egg and cheese McMuffin and the bacon egg and cheese bagel but when I get breakfast wraps or sandwiches I normally go for sausage cause it’s more meat

I would have gone Canadian bacon which I think was the o.g. choice for McMuffin, but out of these two options it’s got to be sausage over bacon. McDonalds bacon is always thin, burnt and somehow rubbery at the sane time. It’s not real bacon, it taste like a vegan made it. I hope you guys also do pepperoni vs sausage pizza next
